If a nobody like Joe Vitale is allowed to take out 2 of our key players in one game, the Flyers need to be just as dirty but not as obvious on Crosby and Malkin or any other key player they might have. It's playoff time. Eye for an eye. The league needs to be watching this series closely and stop giving free passes. Berube wasn't wrong for his quotes. Crosby and Malkin are caught on camera giving cheap shots when they're frustrated. Time to make them pay the price. The Penguins will go into this series the favorite but win or lose, they won't be the same team once they leave this series. This is the mindset the Philadelphia Flyers must have. Tip for tat. Wait for them to make the first dirty mistake before going in that direction.

To a point I agree. To a point I dont.

Initiate. Not retaliate. Its the teams that "give it back" that a lot of the time get the calls. Hit them hard and skate away.

Set the pace and tone of the game and you win. Try to match it. You lose.

Off topic.

But does anyone know a bit about car racks?

Im buying a kayak thursday and not really want to dish out the money for a brand new car rack.

I have a Mazda 3. Do you need specific kinds or is it one size fits most kind of a thing.

- flyer_nutter

Mazda 3. Nice! We have a 3 Sport and a Protege.

The rack thing for you will be a two stage process. Roof rack will be specific to the car. Then you can choose from many different styles of kayak carriers. This store doesn't have a location in Winnipeg but it's good for research. Find the model(s) you need/like and then go shopping on Craigs or Kijiji. Good time of year to be looking.

See im cheap.

Im very tempted to just fold down my back seats and have the thing sit on the passenger side of the car with a bit of it hanging out.

Sure. Just lay a big tarp down. Otherwise you'll get water on the seats. Not good.

You could always just lay it on the roof and hold it with one hand out the window.

I hope not ... there shouldn't have been anything more than a 2 minute penalty to begin with.

I'm already tired of hearing about how "awesome" the Penguins are. It's like Philadelphia is an AHL squad if you listen to these people on the NHL Chanel. It's so (frank)ing annoying.

I really hope we (frank)ing DESTROY the Penguins.

Ron Cook of the Pittsburgh Post- Gazette picks the Pens in 5 because the big mean Flyers and their nasty fans pick on Sid and make him mad. LOL. I'm surprised he didn't predict a sweep. Homer.

EDIT: Heh...nice followup to wolfhounds post above mine. I hope Philly puts it all on the mental bulletin board and comes out with a major chip on the shoulder. Orpik says the flyers have feelings of "fear" and "jealousy" toward the Pens.

Drop the (frank)ing puck already. I can't take too much more of this tripe.

We all do, but this team has a lot to prove. Youthful with a goalie that has a questionable past in the POs and a lot of injuries. We all want them to succeed. The analysts are just telling it like it is, which of course is even harder to hear.

Flyers win game 1 and I like their odds. Youthful confidence is a powerful force.

what if the analysts actually think we're going to win but they just don't want to hear the penguins whine about it?
