I just don't understand why he is so hellbent on making everything about the prequel. The last three movies were what made him. He should be concentrating on those characters. I know Harrison Ford etc are all 30+ years past those days but c'mon. We got animated cartoons and stuff about the clone wars out the wazoo, he could have done something with the other crew.

I think it tells all, he can't do an original film and he knows it. Even Red Tails, a movie he 'only produced', was a shallow plotted affair (and had already been done well before).

Weddings can be done really cheaply, church or registry (justice of the peace) wedding, not a lot of flowers, reasonable clothing. Or expensively, snazzy venue--country club, party place, event space; huge amount on flowers and decor; ridiculously expensive dress; food out the wazoo. But that money's not going to the church.

My church, being a historic church, gets many requests for weddings from people who are not members and we don't do it. If you aren't a member (or a relative or descendant of a member) then you need to find a church you're related to in some way, as far as we're concerned.

EDIT: My wazoo was arrived at independently of other wazoos in this thread.

I don't know how he can't find it in himself to do episodes 7,8,9 where he ushers in a new generation under an aging han, leia and luke. Heck hire these people called writers, produce the movie but let someone like Peter Jackson or if Spielberg who has said before if I'm not mistaken would love to do, then by all means. Arrhggh. I hate to say this but I almost think he owes it to the fans to do those movies.

It is my fear that series becomes another Sopranos. Where they get you all worked up and leave you high and dry. It's sword and sorcery you need more cliffhanger, fight to the death type scenes. Two episodes into the second season and I feel like Tyrion is a better warrior than Rob Stark and neither character has a fight. Basically they killed off the best character last season and his heir is being under-devoloped imo anyway. There's been at least three battles between the Lannisters and the starks and all we've seen is the aftermath of one.

they are well done, but the author loves to kill off a lot of the good guys

'Experiment' is not the term I would use. The prequels are the results of one person having complete creative control when a collaborative effort was needed.

Just my two cents.

I didn't read the books, no but plan on doing so. The books are always better I know that. As for the killing off of good guys I like that shift in direction. Makes the good guys winning actually mean something. However what I don't like with the show is the slow development of the Stark boy. I'm actually rooting for the Targaryn girl to come home with those dragons and lay down the law too, she'd make a good ruler. Feed them inbreeding lannisters to those dragons. Even though the Targaryn's do the samething. (Again i didn't read the books but I did my research on the story.)
