Dehaan did play earlier this season and looked okay in that time. Not sure if he's ready for a full time role but we will likely see that

thats right. he did. I stand corrected, a couple games does not make someone ready for the NHL. Especially defenseman who for the most part seem to develop later. We've rushed enough players, some of you guys actually think we are going to make the playoffs next year(lmao) and you think we are going to do that with two rookie defenseman who have marginal talent to begin with. Don't over value these kids. Staios isn't incredible but hes a five six defensman especially on this team. Just about every defensman on this team is worse than him minus Hamonic.

No...not even close... but he is good on the "wall"...the Islanders lose a lot of battles on the boards...one of the reasons they only have 79 points...trust me if they stay status quo in the summer, we'll be talking about the same thing next year about this time...Snow needs to shake up the team a little...

Donovan is a lock making the team next year...deHaan probably would have made it but he got hurt...so Ness or the defenseman they draft will make it...I don't see Snow bringing in more than one defenseman either in a trade or UFA...I do agree I would like to see two NHL caliber defensemen and two NHL caliber forwards by trade or UFA but I think we'll be lucky if we get one of each...

Somthing else btw, we WILL be talking about the same thing next year about this time. Did you pay attention to anything thats been going on. We've showed no improvement pretty much, Capuano is a terrible coach and got the wangers vote of confidence, Snow has showed he is not capable of signing UFA's or making trades, our goaltending is depending on a average to decent goaltender who is injured, DP is going to ruin a good ten games for us, Wang said everything is hunky dory in Isles country and stated pretty much he aint going to do shat, etc.... This team is NOT making the playoffs UNLESS Snow suddenly turns into a GM over the summer. Its all there for you to see.

Martin, Haley and Cizikas would make a great 4th line...but it doesn't look like Wang/Snow like him...I think you're going to see a very young team next year because this management team won't attract any NHL caliber players...it's just the way it is...

He brought in vets? Reasoner, Mottau, Rolston, Pandalfo, Staios(who was actually bearable and you had a problem with him). No one, and I mean no one with any hockey knowledge thought these were viable hockey players that would be good vets for this team. Saying he should rush these kids(which he may because he is a moron) because he is not capable of bringing even marginally decent talent to the club is short sighted. Konopka was the ultimate team player... always has been. Even back in his Jr's days.

I talk to guys that played with him... they say he would go through a wall for any player on the team.

He'll certainly make a case for himself, but were going to have a defense with zero grit, outside of Hamonic. I'd love to sign Shane O'brien for that 6 spot over Staios.
