On the plus side for the Canadiens, Scott Gomez, Mathieu Darche and Travis Moen participated in Monday's practice after all being out injured for more than three weeks.

engels, i have a hard time believing that any of the "favoured" candidates will be chosen. roy? damphousse? why would the canadiens entrust what will be a monumental off season to a couple of neophytes? there are hard decisions to be made re: gomez, kaberle, less so but still big decisions about moen, bourque. contracts for price, subban. draft picks and what to do in free agency.
if molson is true to his word about a winning culture coming back to montreal, he and serge better not get it wrong. |

There is no quick fix Rob, they can bury Gomez in Hamilton but I expect Kaberle to be back, Moen will be resigned also. |

Don't remember where I saw it, and don't know if it's legit, but apparently you can't buyout a player that ended the season on the injured list.
Gomez better play in the next 3 games. |

There is no quick fix Rob, they can bury Gomez in Hamilton but I expect Kaberle to be back, Moen will be resigned also. - Symba007
well, there may not be a quick fix but if the habs are rebuilding, why sign moen? and if they are truly rebuilding, make a decision. desharnais or plekanec.
to a lesser extent, weber, diaz, bourque? where are tinordi, beaulieu, gallagher, leblanc? where are they next season?
gomez and kaberle are not the only decisions a new g.m./management team will have to make.
the candiadtes that have been floated so far, are not inspiring. |

when a new management group comes in, they will gain instatnt credibility by undoing as many of the msesses of the past regime as possible.
