Flamers.
Think of the return you could have had on PRICE.
You trade a good goalie that stole so much and is very good.
And get lars eller, who has been a good 3rd liner at best.
For price the price would have been way higher, we could have one of the best defensmen in the league and a good draft pick plus lars eller.
When tinordi and MR B and those other blueliners like dietz and company come up, ( if they do cause YA NEVER KNOW ) and are bad? Would you rather have kept price over halak considering the return????????? - gillings
I know you're just trolling but I'll still answer.
I'll take Price over Halak any day of the week. 10 times out of 10. No hesitation.
As for trade value, that depends.
Would I have traded Price for Eller? No.
Price for Perron? No.
Price for Stamkos? Yes.
Halak for Eller was a fair trade. We could have gotten a pick out of it maybe, but don't think for a minute we could have gotten one of their best players. |

What does "flamers" mean?
- hscesq
A very, sometimes exceptionally, rude person mostly found in forums. These persons will use foul language against persons who might have mispelled a word or have another oppion.
Flamers will usually go after new people or people who their know acts badly, examples: noobs. This is true in general, but a flamer will execute his or hers bad temper at anyone at any day. |

What does "flamers" mean?
I don't think you understand that the return for goalies just isn't very good in general. Someone else will provide examples, and I won't get into an Eller debate, but I don't think teh return was so bad. - hscesq
good timing. |

This team as it was this season would have done no better with Halak in the net - habs12
Our team with halak would be very much different.
Maybe a superstar forward or defensmen, Either way halak or price, they are both good goalies.
Halak trade was bad, BUT ONLY if the defenseman coming up the pipeline do not turn out.

I don't care much for you taking price over halak 10 out of 10, But we would have gotten a star plus a 1st round pick, would have had a good goalie in halak and still would have had ALL of the YOUNG GUYS on defense coming up PLUS another first round pick from trading price.
Bad trade if you ask me, and BTW price and montreal HAVENT even come to terms yet. That says alot.

I love Eller. He's really dominant with the puck. He could be a poor man's Plekanec, with less points. |

If the defensman coming up the pipeline turn out to be good, then keeping price was the best move because you can never have TOO MUCH good players on the back end. Obviously price's skillset is better than halak, But I havent seen price do ANYTHING on this level compared to what halak has.

It's not like the habs are known to come to terms with their players during the season.
And considering how soon they will be on the golf course, there's plenty of time left. |

Only 2 pts ahead of us but they have 2 games in hand. Toronto on the other hand. I am afraid. Don't want them in the lottery. |
