Even Phil Kessel has given up on the Leafs I have proof that hes a avid Jets fan.

Good analysis. But I don't think we're ''stuck'' with Komi. He'd be a solid addition for a playoff team. He's a rough go here for a little while but he's a good player. I have no doubt about it. His confidence is shot. - thomas81
C'mon you don't really believe that. The guy is a useless overpaid slug and handles the puck like a grenade. |

Unfortunately for Kessel, it seems people will keep finding excuses as to why he isn't valuable.
He comes to Toronto and everybody says he won't score without Savard, well he scores still.
Then they say he has too many dry spells and the trade wasn't worth it unless he scores around 40 goals per season, well he has been consistent as hell this year and looks to be a guy that will challenge 40 goals for some years to come.
Now they are saying he has no leadership and grit. If he comes out next season and becomes the spiritual leader of the team and starts throwing body checks I'm guessing the next knock will be 'well he's never won a Stanley Cup'.
It just doesn't seem to matter what he does, but truthfully I hope we keep him for as long as possible. Been a long time since we had that kind of pure scorer on this team.

Dude, seriously, people are not trolling you here. Despite the Vancouver team under my avatard, I ama lifelong Leafs fan.
You are assessing things the same way I would expect Burke to assess the team, given his previous actions.
The AHL championship means very little.
The Leafs have a #1 Dman, just not a good one, and well overpaid.
The Leafs have 2 #1 goalies, meaning they don't *really* have any.
The Leafs do not have a #1 center.
There are ZERO up and coming all-stars in the minors. That is simply the truth.
Will they get better. Yeah, there is some hope for the young D core (even that has largely faded), and a couple good drafts, and maybe they get lucky with one of their minor league goalies...
They are going to need some time, and some luck, before they are even a mediocre team. - GoneFullRetard
Yadadadada... Same poop, different day.
The Leafs suck. They'll need to wait until 2025 to be any good...
The team that played prior to the new year was simply a flash in the pan. The player we'll draft, regardless of who it is, will be a complete bust.
Our coaching sucks, our owners are complete idiots,... the list goes on. Did I miss anything? |

Wow. Are you illiterate or something?
I didn't say Reimer was elite. I never said that. You read what you wanna read and then give people poop about it.
I said he was average. I'm confident he'll have a stronger season next year. Does that mean he's the next Ken Dryden? No. He'll be average. That's all I said. - thomas81
Pretty sure you said they have a #1 goalie. Did you mean Gustavsson? |

Next 2 games should be losses. New Jersey and the Rangers. But for some reason the Leafs always put up a fight against the Rangers. - weirdoh
Rangers have had problem with Toronto's team speed this year. Although we are looking slow lately so maybe another blowout for Reimer.

Ya but Colborne who is 4th has 5pts in 10 nhl games... bring that over 82 games and thats 41pts! pretty good for a rookie - wolfos412
It usually is the journey men that are top scorers in the AHL(not always) as the younger players are projects and are pushed in many facets of the game. To support this check out the overall stats line for the last 5 years in the AHL.
We probably don't have any young superstars in our prospect pool as of right now. However, we do have serviceable NHL players for the future (based on potential)
-Colborne (2nd line center)
-Ashton (3rd line grinder)
-Holzer (top 4 dman)
-Frattin (2nd line winger)
-Ross (great 3rd line grinder)
-Blacker (serviceable dman with power play capabilities)
-Scrivens/Owuya (inconsistent but young)
-Mueller (?)
-D'Amigo (?)
-Kadri (?)
-McKegg (?)
That isn't that bad
It would be nice to sign Justin Schultz when he becomes a free agent as it doesn't look like he'll sign in Anaheim |

Leafs need a #1 goalie, a #1 centre and a #1 d-man.

I hate the Canadiens but Price is a great goalie and would not be an issue no matter what team he plays for.
Anyone saying otherwise really really really hates the Canadiens. I just only really really hate them.
