Bill,
It's our honor to have you be our blogger. Awesome stories day in and day out.

Howe's ceremony was one of class and respect...

On twitter last night Toc and Fridge were defending the hit and Fridge made a great point on how the NHL has tried to make a violent game safe with all the rules.

In the old days the hit was clean but in this NHL with them wanting to take head shots out, this hit violates Rule 48 because the target was the head. A lot of people will say he hit him with his arm down and that's fine but the target was the head w/o trying to play the puck.

Great quotes at the end of the blob

I got chills reading the Beasts and Pelle's. RIP both of them.

Solid win and Bryz is playing well...

This is all FuXkiXg ridiculous !!!!!

Intent to injure .... head was primary point of impact !!!!!

How can this not get reviewed by Shanny ... Clearly violation of rule 48.

Even if it wasn't a rule, why would you pummel or hammer a guy to the point of injuring him .... Ethically speaking, it's unacceptable !!!!

Kronwall is known for this. X amount of times did he lay that type of hit on numerous players.

The guy plays by the rules .... so I can't hate on the guy but a rule change, GM meeting, or whatever should be considered to protect the players .....

I love a fast and hard hitting game but this is becoming foooock9ing ridiculous !!!

Protect the league and it's players for fux sake

Assuming Malkin, Stamkos and Lunqvist do keep up their current pace for the Hart Trophy, there is a pretty decent chance Giroux could end up with the Ted Lindsay Award...That's if Giroux can keep up his current pace...I hope...

I would say right now, Giroux isn't a favorite for either award.

Not since the WC. Up 'til then it was looking good. I think Malkin may be LBP. And Hart may depend on the stretch runs.
