Except knowing if he can still play? How his knee will respond? Not only should he come back, he should play at the worlds.
- habby

If he plays about 10 games in the season then yeah you let him go to the worlds.

I fear this as well. Just enough to take the habs out of lottery pick territory.

That helps our pathetic D how?
- shinebox

It doesn't but we don't have to spend four 1st round picks to get Parise. Only money.

My prediction is Habs leave draft with one of Grigorenko or Galchenyuk. Maybe Forsberg.

Man, if (and i know they wont and cant) they can spend that 1st to get Weber, im in, i dont like the idea of trading that pick at all, but for him, i just might consider it.

our 2012 first? I think we need a great center prospect before a stud $8M dman.

They will draft a center or a stud dman, not much choice really.

He should play at the worlds first. You know, to test things out.

NO. You don;t touch that 1st....especially since it will be a top 5 pick!

Grigs has fallen a bit according to scouts. I said it before and I'll say it again, I would not be against the Habs drafting Murray and then trading Beaulieu/Tinordi for a mid range 1st.

Yeah, maybe, only not every year does one become available. And as much as we need a center, the problem with this team all begins and ends with the D.

You really think it's necessary with a healthy Markov and Kaberle?

Yeah I think you take your chances with a top 5 pick and try to draft a really good prospect. A centerman that can make Desharnais expendable.
