I agree PG and Gainey have done damage but not sure if they were worse then Houle, the Mario Tremblay fiasco was pretty bad.
- ganou60

Houle was forced to trade Roy, he didnt get as much in return as he should have, but his hands were pretty much tied on the matter.

Not according to most scouting reports.

We'll see.

You're aware that the CHL is way more scouted than the NCAA? And rightfully so because there are more talented players developed in those years, but I mean, how many people saw Matt Read and Craig Smith coming compared to 'say Couturier or RNH?

Also I'm telling you what I think, and that's from what I've seen from the guys not what I read on some report.

Yeah I'm not doubting Bennet's talent. I am just saying according to MOST scouting reports, Dietz and Ellis are there before him.

Don't quote me on saying they are better than Bennet.

Sure, but from Hodgson's perspective he just got bent over, at least he has golden lube now though.

Would not be surprised to see Habs draft a Dman in top 5 and then flip one of Beaulieu or Tinordi for another 1st to land a center in the mid range.

Never happen, that would require some thought...

You trade with a team like Calgary that needs a dman.

And you're happy when they have guys like Kovalev and Kostitsyn floating around.

Guess we don't have the same standards.

I mean aside from Timmins and his huge boner for the USHL and the USNDT
most teams have more scouts in the CHL than in the states.

Yeah I don't really follow this thread that often but I realise most Habs fans are very fickle and/or stupid.

For this very reason:

This anywhere else would have him tossed out on his head. So nobody scouts the USHL or the Q?
