I'm glad this poopty season is happening now. We'll finally get a top-5 pick forward who's talented and NHL-ready... Unless they pick a goalie...

Im no where thinking he's the savior. 4th line ? most probably.

Great drive by Cole... Best UFA since 99 IMO

I think he has what it takes to be a good 3rd line forward in the league. Like Gaustad, Pahlsson, Madden... those kinda guys.

You want some kind of production out of your 3rd line.

57 won't give you that.

Hell no, the habs arnt the kind of team that drafts Carey Price at #5 when they have the all-star era Théodore in net for them.

He was last year's. If you're talking about him coming back from injury, absolutely everyone was confident he'd make a full recovery. I for one never doubted that he would.

Up to now, I really like how he plays. Every time he's on the ice it's in the other end and he likes to drive the net.

Good to see big players driving the net in a Habs jersey.

I did not think he would get more than 15 goals this season, and would have considered that a success.

I'm not saying it was a bad decision, i'm saying making non-sensical moves is what the habs do... all the time.

You draft the player you feel is the best one available at the time if your pick, regardless of position.

Sometimes it works out, most of the times it don't... and not just for the Habs.

Patrice Bergeron did make that kind of come back, however his concussion was far more critical than Patche's. On the other hand, Crosby who's got a pretty heavy brain injury was just as good when he came back this year...

The general consensus was that Kopitar was the best player available for the habs to pick at the time.

He was still taken 6 picks later...so I think the 5 other teams who didn't draft him are worse than the Habs who at least got a very good player
