"When we got Sergei, I heard nothing but bad things about Sergei — that he couldn't do this, he couldn't do that, he couldn't do this, he's not going to help you, all those types of things," Coach Barry Trotz said. "They're wrong, we're right — Sergei is one of the best things. We virtually gave up nothing and got our first-line left-winger. … He's a good player. I expect the same thing of Andrei. I know he's a terrific talent, and he can play."

Maxim Lapierre.....

Bret (frank)ing festerling.....

I was no huge fan of him but they gave up their only center above 5'2" for AHL depth...

To be fair their top left winger is a 45-55 point guy.
- AdamFrench

Yeah, and they just added his much more offensively talented brother.

Sort of why I'm surprised that Goat didn't try to extract a little bit more than a 2nd and his own pick.

And promptly traded that depth 2 months later for a goalie who will never see ice time in the NHL with Montreal.

EDIT: Never SAW ice time. Signed with Buffalo as a free agent. Awesome.

He's decent, but (frank) the bottom-6 for the past 3 years hasn't scored more than 20 goals combined.

Even when he loses a fight badly he wins, ask leaf fans. He lost to Eager and he won, but Eager's hands lost the fight, and he only hit helmet, and Brown's face did all the punching.
