Howard,

I am sad to report that Alex Kovalev left his KHL club as it seems the team didn't want/need him for the playoffs.

Saw on TSN that it was from a book written about a real dude who played shortly in the AHL.

"When we got Sergei, I heard nothing but bad things about Sergei — that he couldn't do this, he couldn't do that, he couldn't do this, he's not going to help you, all those types of things," Coach Barry Trotz said. "They're wrong, we're right — Sergei is one of the best things. We virtually gave up nothing and got our first-line left-winger. … He's a good player. I expect the same thing of Andrei. I know he's a terrific talent, and he can play."

I can see it happening.

If anyone can do it, it's Barry Trotz.

Im not so sure we arent in for one, Andrei has the ability to become a good offensive player somewhere other than Montreal. If Trotz can make Sergei into a 1st line winger imagine what he can do with Andrei's talent.

I enjoy how power foward is now the term to describe anyone who isn't a play maker or a prolific goal scorer.

Sort of why I'm surprised that Goat didn't try to extract a little bit more than a 2nd and his own pick.

Would not be surprised if it works. Habs have a knack for turning talent into poop.
