Nice to see the Flyers are angry and competing and into the game.

Even strength play has been solid. PK is just an abomination right now.

A lot of teams ask the goaltender to be the best penalty killer, obviously this team can't do that, so they have to start blocking shots on the PK, and clearing the puck more.

He's bailed the team out all year. They really owe him one.

Back and forth game so far. We look great one second, terrible the next.

31 shots is nice though.

On the plus side, I was worried that Hartnell and Simmonds wouldn't mesh well on the same line. But I have to admit I like that PP goal with both of them barricading the front of the net. If they can still control the puck with both of those guys wreaking havoc in front, that will be very tough on any goalie.

They both play a similar style, so you would think you would like to have a different type of player to compliment that line, but Simmonds has been so good this year he's earned top line minutes.

If the Jets get the next goal, I dont know..

Flyers forwards have to move down lower to help the D, dont be sweeping your stick weakly at the blueline away from the real threat of the play.

Next goal is enormous Nutter. What's your take on the new D-men?

They took away Giroux's assist on the Hartnell goal and gave it to Simmonds. I didn't see Simmonds touch it at all.

I hope the Flyers win or tie or they'll be in 6th place by the end of the night and possibly in 7th place before they play Edmonton

I like Grossman. If you limit his minutes and dont expect him to be a top 3 guy he is solid it seems. Adds some much needed snarl to the back end.

I do feel like the Flyers could have used Schenn, I would have made the deal for JVR for Schenn +..

Kubina had a solid start, some nice passes, but overall he is what I remember. Damn inconsistent defensively. Better than what the Flyers had before though.

playing grossman and kubina together on the pk's probably not the best idea right now, but what do i know?

Unless Washington, or Florida win the Division, I don't think there is much of an advantage finishing 6th as opposed to 4th or 5th. The Jets have been a handful all season, the Pens would be a handful (especially if Crosby comes back) NJD might be a better matchup than Winnipeg.
