lol you mention -10 ..but not 6 goals in 15 games? you call out people all the time for spinning sh1t...

Turris is a .5 player for Ottawa... Rundblad is a .5 player for the Yotes

- senstroll

Yeah he scored 6 goals for the Portland Pirates, but still has a MINUS 10 rating.

What does that tell you? Well his six goals weren't enough to lower his +/- down to a respectable level.

It was a terrible trade. A huge overpayment.
- prock

On paper I would agree. But the sens got the most nhl ready player and he is helping them win and make the playoffs. Rundblad has the potential to be a fantastic offensive defenseman and the 2nd round pick has a 25-30% chance to become a nhl player. Its a risk that in the short term has worked for them but in the long term may not. In the end you win some and you lose some.

Blow my top? I'm trying to give him the benefit of the doubt, and am asking him if he's really being serious (aka THAT stupid).

That's not what Pierre McGuire says. Your "bitter leaf fan" wishes are no match for PM's respected opinion.

Turris was in a contract dispute for the first part of the season.
- sens rock

And why has he sucked the rest of his career? What's his excuse then?

Do you think Murray deserves to be named executive of the year for his rebuild of the Senators?

how else do you respond to a post like that? It's an incredibly stupid post. He's either doing it deliberately, or.....

you said
You ever see guys get traded, go on a good little stretch, then go back to his usual self? Yeah, well, guess what.... He's scoring at the same rate as he did in Pheonix now.
- prock

I gave you the stats, that prove you're wrong again.

Turris scored 19 goals for the Coyotes, in 143 games.
He's scored 8 goals for the Senators in 36 games.

I don't know what kinda math they taught you in school, but it sure looks like he's scoring at a much greater rate in Ottawa, than he was in Phoenix.

he's 22 and left college way too early on the advice from coyote management. Phoenix is a terrible organization for player development and he suffered from that.

Do you understand the meaning of "now"? Maybe ask your son. Although, that might be a little complex for a Carleton student.

he tore up the bchl and was a ppg in his freshman year in college (leading his team in scoring). Instead of staying in college like he should of he was rushed to the nhl when he wasn't ready and never recovered. He has talent, but he was more of a "project" player and was brought in before he was ready.

Congrats, you just traded your top prospect and a second round pick for a lesser version of Tyler Bozak.

I thought Rundblad was being overrated a bit in Ottawa personally. He was a nice prospect but he didn't look to have elite potential like some people seemed to think. I didn't even see any flashes of that level of play in any of the games I saw him in.

Turris has more upside in my opinion. Who knows who'll end up being the best player though. They're both really young.

- daeth

Agreed.

He WAS overrated, based on his play in the SEL (AKA the no hitting league), on the larger ice surface, where he had lots of space and time.

So far, in North America where they DO hit, and there's less time and space, he's yet to show anything near his play in Sweden.

"getting you" is too easy. You're a fish in a barrel, and you jump out all by yourself, so need to shoot.

Turris is scoring at a much greater rate in Ottawa than he ever did in Phoenix.

Stats show that he's got a lower points per game in the NHL, lower points per game in Ottawa than Bozak, just... a lesser player.

Oh now that you've acknowledged (in your pathetic way of changing the argument) that if FACT Turris is scoring at a much greater rate in Ottawa than he did in Phoenix.............now you've brought Bozak into the picture.

Spin Spin Spin.

Let me know when the leaf make the playoffs.
