Now Cappy has the flu Weight might be running the show tonight.

Staple also tweeted that Eaton told him, RE: asking for a trade, "absolutely not".

- eichiefs9

Crappy could be in trouble if the Islanders play well tonight under Weight...would be interesting if he puts Nino on one of the top two lines...if he does...he should be the head coach...

i was gonna (frank)ing kill female dog goring for saying from midway through the 2nd till the end of the game that -- the islanders should HAVE FUN at this point and switch the lines up....HAVE FUN?!?! BUTCH!! ARE YOU (frank)ING BLIND!!! THEY ARE BEING EMBARRASSED!!!!!!!!!! (frank)ing butch goring....hate that guy
- LetsGoIsles

I hate Butch myself I cant stomach the guy. I think DP should retire and take over. Make no mistake though Butch wants to get back into coaching and that is where he belongs. An assistant coach some team not names the Islanders out os sight and out of mind. The things that come out of the guy are unreal

As long as we relying on Rolston, we going nowhere. He complete destroys the Bailey Line. The only time bailey and martin sync are when they are killing Penatly. That is telling you something.

Reasoner sucks.

Also, I know you guys dont agree but One Dimensional Moulson does not help when he not scoring. He never goes to the boards and just waits in front of next for JT to do all the dirty work in the corners. Hence why JT is exhausted.

I know you say Moulson is 30+ scorer but i wonder how many he scores without JT. I say he would have no more than 15 on year.

Since this team does not want to make the playoffs (losses to Tor (twice), Ott, Habs, FL) then they should get huge value for Moulson, PA, Nabby.

Get some Winner for next year. Big FA LW like Parise and some real dman.

Finally, where is this EATON demanding trade story?

seriously anyone that wants to come down let me know..this team is VERY fun to watch

I'd love to see Bridgeport play. Nothing like watching a team with talent and grit. Unfortunately the 850 mile drive is currently undo-able.

I did get to see the Isles twice this season at The RBC Center. Only a 7 hr round trip drive. Low and behold. We won both times!

My son just got accepted to Quinnipiac (they seem to be big time now) but is going to a small school in Bethlehem called Moravian College to play football...

I keep hoping they get Bobby Ryan...born on the east coast he would be great with JT and Moulson...and he would sell tickets...it seems outside of JT and Hamonic, they really haven't drafted that great with such a high draft position.

- kear20

i don't know what strome dehaan or nino are yet..they should be fine..i wouldn't worry about them yet..if okposo is a 55 point player i'm fine with that..bailey..eh who knows..but time will tell on strome and nino..dehaan will be good was playing really good hockey until his injury

This would be asesome for this team. NAbby plays as number one next year for the whole year we can make the playoffs. I guarentee it. He might attract other guys here too. You never know

You're right on Moulson...he has good hands though better than Grabner. That is the knock on Grabner...he has lousy hands...

Would you send a few young players like Strome and Poulin...maybe deHaan to get Ryan?
- kear20

DeHaan? Yes. Nino? yes. Poulin? yes. KO? yes. Bailey? Yes. Frans? Yes. AMac? yes. Ness? Yes. Grabner? Yes.
Of course not all of them but a choice of.

Strome? NO!

I really believe Strome is going to be an extraordinary Hockey player in a few years. Nino may be also but you gotta give to get.

DeHaan? Not sold on Mr Fragile.

I totally agree. I have always said, I would rather coach a team of grinders that play 60 minutes every night hard than a team of stars that play 10 minutes hard.

i very much agree with this....the guy gets in the nasty areas in front of the net and the puck finds his stick, thats nothign to sneeze at, BUT thats all the guy does. he doesnt go to corners, he has ZERO physical presence and his d-play is not much to talk about....he puts pucks in the back of his stick when they land on his stick, again, nothing to write off, but i think that is VERY replaceable.

the guy has 27 hits on the season. to put that into perspective, he is tied with mike "get him off my team" mottau, HOWEVER mottau has played in 31 less games than moulson....moulson also have an inch (ok well call it even) and 15 lbs on mottau. PLAY THE (frank)ING BODY MATT!!!

while we're at it....get rid of grabner too. (frank)ing loser

Interesting perspective. Assuring success for the junior team at the expense of the senior team. Not sure I agree with that plan but hey. This is the Islanders!

I agree in regards to Moulson. He is very one dimensional and yesterday he was not busting it or going after the lose pucks or anything. He is pretty slow from what I can see. Grabner is aggravating I guess he was just a flash in the pan and maybe we should trade him now before teams realize this. There was a reason so many teams dumped him and he had one good season so we reward him witha huge contract. There you go Wang and Snow

Who do you think is better Brock Nelson or Strome? You probably have to give one up to get Ryan or Getzlaf...they say Nelson is a stud in college...

Over the history of the NHL, the team that comes to mind with the strong AHL team was the Habs. I lived in Halifax as a kid, and the AHL team in Halifax had players on it like Larry Robinson, etc...They won several AHL championships, and it translated to the NHL, they went on the 5 year run.

I am saying that if you build a strong AHL clus, it will certainly help to translate over to the parent club.

Sounds like the Kessel / Seguin deal to me.

I would do it every day, anytime you can a proven player, for an unknown. Do the deal.

Good point...just my take because Matt Donovan has played better than Ness this year at Bridgeport and he stayed down. Also Cizkas and Ulmstrom have played better and they have stayed down and he keeps Wallace up who shouldn't be in the AHL much less the NHL...

Agreed...but Boston will spend to build a winner, the Islanders don't want to spend...except for $5 million dollar players that are over the hill...
