doubtful because Carle walks at the end of the year. So basically you get JVR and a 1st
- tjp2033

Also, I am not sure how much LTR cap space the Flyers have, and if that + those contracts makes it work. And even if it does, what do the Flyers have to do next year to make it work? Sacrifice depth?

Cant see a fit for the flyers ,Nash will cost far to many roster players off a good team already. If there was ever time for a three way trade it would be now .The three young goalies that clb seems to have an interest in, are on teams that cant come up with the other componets to make a deal work.

so you are saying there is a chance haha
- tjp2033

There is always a chance. but I doubt it.

Especially considering MTL does not need a goalie.

I think he is an above average goalie who played in a nice system with the 'Yotes... look at how well it is working for Mike Smith this year.

That contract is dead weight... gonna be almost as hard as getting someone stupid enough to take on Gomez.

So when Bob Gainey gets a job then they can unload him?

Gotta sting that the Flyers moved Richards and Carter to help make the Bryz deal happen

How'd that work out for ya?

Just curious, what other deal involving Columbus would possibly warrant a 45 minute meeting involving Holmgren, another Flyers guy, Howson and another Columbus guy today?

Personally I don't see Nash going to Philly either but I don't doubt the reports about Philly being seriously interested.

I wonder, if before they pulled the trigger on Kubina, if the Flyers were trying to get Tyutin (who would fit in very well with them).

Maybe we can trade him to the Islanders for Nabokov straight up.

One more time. CBJ is pushing Nash to Flyers. Not other way around. Although flyers would like to upgrade in goal even in backup

Ok, so Panoccio now says it's Columbus trying to push the trade on Philly, not the other way around. Makes sense.

*looks at the play of Carter and Richards*
*looks at the play of Simmonds, Schenn, Couturier, and Voracek*

Yep. Still satisfied with those deals.

The players they brought in for Richards and Carter have been better than both so no issues there.

They were both cancers in the dressing room.

Flyers would never win with them.

Still worth it.

Jvr, Carle, a 1st for Nash is enough.

Nash doesn't make Philly any better because he doesn't fill a need, unless you want to win games 8-7 until the playoffs start. Hell, Kubina solves a problem for Philly and I don't think he is that good.

We got Simmonds Schenn, Voracek Couturier and space to sign Bryzgalov and Jagr. Sounds like a good deal to me still.

Nash is the face of the franchise....those are expensive....unless it's Boston trading Joe Thornton for 3 spare parts
