So he's wrong? Did the fans not abandon the team and then magically show up after Crosby came? Some pretty fairweather fans in Pittsburgh, they rival Buffalo for that matter. Even though Garth says the Sabres were supported through thick and thin.

Missed playoffs 3 years in a row to survive bankruptcy by cutting payroll. Sid helped for sure, but the salary cap is what kept the team in town and the new arena. Kinda like the Isles are going through.

Remember, the Hawks, Caps, and Oilers have rebuilt this way too. Not exclusive to us

Why? He's not a good fighter, nobody says he is. He doesn't have to fight to make his point. And if somebody does step up to fight now, they'll be goons because they are down like they are. Did you miss how big of a goon Brown was because he went after Subban last week? I chuckled.

that was racially motivated

If that happens, can the Leafs snag Kopitar? Kings will have 3 #1 centers. Obviously Kopitar would be the odd man out me thinks.

First sentence handed down this week. 18 months in jail.

As long as the A HOLES are still in jail till after the hockey season in the likelyhood that the Canucks make it back to the finals.

My team can't win two games in a row all of a sudden so I'm depressed. I don't know that would help (and yes I'm kidding)
- Rayven

I love watching Boston - they can score and play the physical game to a tee. Thornton is a beast, what more can you ask from the guy. When he blindsided Gill the other night in the Habs game, was just awesome.

There are always more bumholes ready to step up. I think the fact that the sentencing is going to be harsh will be a deterrent to this type of poop country wide though.

The Oil have fans show up even though they are poop. I didn't ask about other teams. You just said that somebody was wrong after they claimed Crosby saved your franchise. The salary cap did (frank) all for the Pens, it was the constant top picks and grabbing Crosby and Malkin that saved the team. Stop acting like the fans knew that not showing up would force the owners to do something. That has to be the lamest excuse out there.

Ya but if the runours are true that the Kings are trying to reunite Richards & Carter, you can't play big minutes for all three #1 centers, somebody is going to be unhappy. Besides why have 3 $1 centers on one team, why not trade one of them for other assets to help your team???? Only makes the Kings better.

of course he's depressed - Burke is a fat loud mouth and all his son wanted to do was grow up like his Dad... Well he almost succeeded.

Ownership came out and said they were gonna have a hard couple of years up front. don't act like u know anything about it, just cause you say it's so, doesn't make it that way. Salary cap has leveled the field quite a bit, u are blind if you can't see that. Being a leaf fan I would expect nothing less

You worried about the Rags come playoff time? Losing the SB and the ECF to Bonz would be a bit much.

Getting rid of your best goal scorer wont help the team no matter how you spell it. That being said the only untouchables would be Quick, Kopi, Richards and Doughty. Any others, take your pick.

Ya they are the most fun team to watch. Hec there 4th liners is more exciting than the Leafs 2nd, 3rd & 4th line combined. If the Leafs had Boston's 4th line, they would the Leafs 2nd line.

So because ownership came out and said it was going to be a rough few years, the fans took that as "we shouldn't show up and support our team"? I apologize then for thinking they were fairweather. They clearly only showed up after they had a good team that the ownership was proud of.

Even Gillis and Burke made some peace after that tragedy.

Judging by the score tonight, Burke might even make a pitch for Schneids.
