Yesssss! It's Doug MacLean time. |

Yeah, no argument here.
The Oilers offense is pretty solid too. Gagner/Hall/Eberle have looked good....Hopkins needs some linemates. - mykokes
Flip Nuge and Gags... Nuge and Eberle have sick chemistry.

No, having a consistent starter was working the past 5 weeks.
If Reimer's that guy now, then give him some games, too. Gus got plenty of time to work it out. Afford the better goalie of the two the same benefits. - Leeman4Gilmour
Back to back games tho... Reimer let in some weak ones.. |

I could imagine what would be said in here if the Leafs were down 5-3 on the same circumstances.
You all know it.

That's why he said start gus and not reimer! - Fakepartofme
Reimer, despite his injury, is every bit as good as Gus his year. Very close numbers with an edge going to Reimer coming into tonight.
Reimer gets the clear win based on career performance. Reimer could be this team's future starter.
Gus probably won't be here next year. Leaf fans need to let go. He can be an adequate back-up for us for the remainder of the year, but he's not part of this team's long-term plans.
Sorry if I let the secret out. |

That would be totally different.
When other teams don't get a call, hey, poop happens.
When the Leafs don't get a call, it's because Bettman told the refs to screw Toronto.
That's a fact - ask any Leafs fan. |

That will happen in the next week or so when:
A. Gagner comes back to reality
B. Is traded |

The only reason I might consider starting Gus is for that reason. But then you go back to Reimer. This has got to become a classic starter/back-up situation.
1A/1B set-ups rarely ever work, and I wouldn't like to be riding that arrangement down the stretch. We don't need a goalie coming in ice cold for game 82 with the season potentially on the line.
As for Reimer's weak goals, I haven't seen anything truly weak tonight. Failed to make a few timely saves, but he got burned by Eberle and beat by a deflection. He's been average, but not poor. |

Actually, when the other teams don't get a call it's "The war room being in Toronto is a pure joke. Isn't that conflict of interest?" |

I hear you there. I still chirp the Sens fan I car pool with about Spezza sitting on our goalie then slightly nicking a kicked in puck |

That 3rd one that he let in from the point was not a good goal. |
