I mean, we're 7th right now, the 6th place team has played what, 2 more games than us? and we're two points back and play them on Saturday? We just took 3/4 points from one of the hottest teams in the league and we're getting our key contributors back...

I'm hoping we stay the course, get a taste of playoffs and make a pitch for Parise in the offseason and the following offseason we'll pitch for Getzlaf.

Probably too sane for Hockeybuzz...sorry guys.

I can't believe the hate you guys have for Roy! I'm under the impression the guy has personality flaws (translation: He's a wiener) but the guy has always put up huge points for you guys.
I wouldn't trade for him (due to comparables with Grabbo and he's not a 1C) but I'd take him on my team any day.

There really IS no need for the leafs to make a move. We're the youngest team in the league, and making the playoffs this year, while nice, isn't important. Leafs, Sens, Panthers, and the other lower tier teams competing for playoff spots aren't going to even touch a team like the Bruins in the playoffs, so if you make it you get 4-12 games experience, and you're ousted.

You know of course that Dreger is Nonnis' cousin (or related somehow) right? Well I think the whole thing was a bluff. Dreger always devalues the Leafs in trade rumours, because he doesn't want to look like a homer.

JVR had great potential when drafted (2nd) that he has not lived up to.
Schenn was similar in his draft position (5th) and his current play.

I am not saying that Schenn is the next Pronger, but I also saying Kadri and Schenn (that has been mentioned here) for JVR is wrong. I think they are very similar. But the Leafs don't need JVR right now.

He's dreaming about making a pitch at top ufa players? If they hit the UFA market the leafs will make a pitch for them, as will 29 other teams. The chances of the leafs getting them? Slim to none, as they'll be looking for long term huge money deals that are front loaded.

Let's just put it this way Flyer's fans...If we give you Luke Schenn, then that means for the next however long, we will have to deal with a team that has BOTH Schenns. I can't imagine them being on the same team and NOT playing incredibly well together.

So if PHI is serious about replacing Pronger, who won't come back, and if he does, probably won't be the same defenceman, then you will need to pay up as it simply doesn't makes sense for us to trade this guy within our conference unless the deal's good for us

I think the age similiarities and the presence of Brayden invites those rumours.

BB would much sooner dump Komi's salary before moving the younger, more versatile Schenn, as he does have pending UFAs to deal with and Komi's making money to sit in the press box after being outplayed for a regular roster spot.
