According to Hockey Futures which I feel is a very credible site....Kadri is considered equal to JVR as a prospect. Schenn is considered a better prospect than JVR.
Besides that...I think there are more pressing needs...

If this is correct... that means the Flyers are in the driver seat. Burke is going after JVR - Not Homer is going after Schenn. AKA, Burke is the one who will be overpaying. - leon neon

Maple Leafs last championship was in '67 as well...
Since the Sabres inaugural season we have lost in the Finals twice...

I went to the same high school as Drew Stafford and he is only 2 years older than me.. So when he got drafted by the Sabres I started watching them and I actually really liked Afinogenov and Miller and that is why I am a sabres fan..
Sabres need to trade Stafford because I don't like his game.

Ah, Kadri isn't considered equal. The system has two factors. JVR 8.0B versus Kadri 8.0C. The "player's realistic chances of achieving their potential" is different.
"B - Should reach potential, could drop 1 rating - likely to reach potential, but may have a hole or two in his game that will keep him from reaching his full potential. The potential rating is multiplied by 90 percent for depth chart purposes, which indicates slightly less certainty about a player’s future performance.
C - May reach potential, could drop 2 ratings - has shown some flashes, but may ultimately not have what it takes to reach his potential. The potential rating is multiplied by 80 percent for depth chart purposes to show the uncertainty of a player reaching his potential."
"8. First-Line Forward/ No. 2 Defenseman / No. 1 Goaltender - players with definite skill that might be just a cut below elite status, but still possessing All-Star potential."
And, Schenn is 8.5B versus JVR 8.0B. The number ranking is player's realistic potential ability, but is adjusted for defenseman and forwards (ie. apples/oranges). Besides, the groupings are fairly broad. The top prospect is Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, and he is a 8.5C. Is Luke Schenn better or equal to him?
