Wow i really dont even know if i should waste my time responding to this, its just so delusional.....Yea let me trade a player who was the 2nd overall pick and dominated last years playoffs and beginning of the season but has been hampered this year by a hip injury and a player that was suppose to go 2nd in last years draft who just turned 19 and is holding his own on the pk and has earned a spot on a stacked flyers team for 2 players that can't manage to stay in the line up on a leafs team that might not make the playoffs.... - Jack-Meoff
Easy there tiger,
We 'might' not make the playoffs...'might', but right now, without Pronger in your lineup playing 30 minutes of hockey on your blueline, your team 'might', ' just might' make it past the first round.
Your team will not go far in the playoffs without a stud on the back end, regardless of the firepower you have up front.
I wouldn't guarantee the Leafs'd beat the Flyers if they meet in the spring, but I'll tell you, I wouldn't be scared either.
You'd better hope your goaltending's ready to carry the weight come April, you'll need it |

Since you have a tenuous at best grasp on the concept of Statistics and Analytical Trends, I'm going to assume you're 13. As this subject is covered in grade 9 of high school. - Scruffton
you got it... I am 12.5. Darn it!! Next Year I get to take geometry too! |

Leino is to the Sabres what Versteeg was to the Leafs.
Did the Leafs buy out Versteeg? - HuileHab
Nope. But we didn't give him 6x $4.5Mil either...
Versteeg
2010-11 Toronto Maple Leafs NHL 53 14 21 35 29 -13
Leino
2011-12 Buffalo Sabres NHL 40 4 8 12 8 -8 |

I love how 5 maple leaf fans think they know exactly what every other team in the NHL is going to do with their roster... leafs are the only team that is allowed to shake up their team..
Everyone wants to play for the Leafs... I heard they will sign Parise and Getzlaf.. this year they will trade for Perry.. Then I heard Malkin wanted to play for them too.. Can you imagine!!??
kessel - Crosby - Parise
Malkin - Getzlaf - Perry
Buffalo forfeits.. - MillerTime1130
What are you basing this on?
If you knew how to read (which I'm skeptical about) you'll see I said "Make a pitch for Parise next year (UFA)" and " Make a pitch for Getzlaf the next year (UFA)"
No where did I say they are coming.
And you can ask any fan of any team in the league and they'll tell you the same thing we have about your amazing signing of Leino. |

Nice comparison.....Let's see Buffalo get a first rounder for him in a trade. |

Kris Versteeg (at the time): $6 mill./two years left on deal
Ville Leino (now): $27 mill./six years left on deal
A little different, no? - Urethra Franklin
I meant that he was signed to a contract with the hopes that he could be more then he was on a good team. When he wasn't he was dumped off.
Granted Leino is no way going to get a 1st and a 3rd in return, but if he has a decent year next year it is possible to dump him. |

Those 3 games count for 5% of your teams total games this season. Terrible sample size.
The leafs January counts for 25% of our teams total games this season. Enough of a sample size to dictate an acceptable trend. - Scruffton
There are 12 games that the Leafs played in the month of January... There are also 82 games played in an NHL hockey season..
According to my statistical analysis that is 14.63% of a season's games. I am assuming you are 13. |

If he has a comeback year and puts up 50ish points the sabres could trade him next year.
It's always possible.
The only unmoveable contract out there is Gomez as he will never be able to produce enough to be worth it - HuileHab
Of course maybe is a possibility, but likelihood is a whole other issue.
I still don't get Gomez...what happened to that guy... isn't his one year anniversary of the last time he score a goal this week? |

I am really doubting your reading skills as well. As I have already said that Leino is a useless piece of crap that is not worth a 1M dollar deal and i hate the Sabres for doing it. Reading comprehension FAIL! |

*facepalm*
You seriously don't understand what a trend is, do you?
A statistical trend would be our recent play comparative to our recent past; i.e. our current statistical trend (over 12 games) compared to our recent past (51 total games of the season). Why would we factor in the 31 games that have yet to even be played into the equation? They have nothing to do with the current trend? |
