there's the medium-long term manageability that neeeds to be considered.

It's not just a case of putting everything on your VISA and pretending there isn't a due date for those payments.

As long as Grabo keeps that second line on fire, and as long as we're picking away at the 6th spot's heels, then I don't think BB messes with a lot, purely on the fear that while a given move may be better long term, we really, really need playoffs.

Leino was a bad signing... they missed out on Brad Richards so they threw out desperate money to a project player... I hate Leino and would trade him for a role of stick tape..

Connolly was signed because they actually believed he was "the 2nd best Center on the market" when they lost out on Richards.. 4.5 Million for someone that is proven to be fragile compared to 4 million for someone that has shown potential but still completely unproven..

Sorry but Schenn and Kadri are both under 23 years of age, getting a former 2nd overall pick who hasn't really taken off while playing with so many talented guys around him means it'll take more than a 2nd rounder to get that deal.
