I'm actually 100% in agreement with this one.
He's too easy to knock over and to knock off the puck. He needs to learn to use his body better and protect the puck. Bring him up when he's added strength in his legs and can handle getting pushed around. - Juice
You nailed it.
Kadri right now reminds me of Grabo when he first came to the Leafs except not as strong a skater.
He seems to get himself all twisted up and discombobulated at times, maybe trying to do too much.

Kessel's a lot more skilled than Lombardi. And Lombo was kinda falling. Looked like he healed it a bit.
It was a pretty (frank)ing soft penalty call, and the Leafs killed it. Lombardi isn't to blame for this loss. - Big_Lightnin
It was a hook to the hands. Legit Call. Leafs killed it yeah, but Pitts scored 20 seconds later after creating opportunities for 2 mins.
Lombo sucks! |

Finger's contract is off the books come end of June. Komisarek, if not moved previously will be the captain of the Marlies. Lombardi likely bought out of the last year... or effectively option to another team for a 7th rounder or underachieving minor league contract. To date BB hasn't had to make these type of decisions... he would have had he not made the Phaneuf trade. Now unless he can move some of the overpriced talent... he'll have to.
Not signing Grabovski for something in the range of 4.5 per year would be just unfair. THe guy seems to want to stay, seems to be liked by the teammates, works hard most if not all nights... heck... take Connolly's money and give it to Grabo. Tell TimC to have a career ending injury IR time out.
How much did they roll back salaries after the lockout? - BorjeFan4Ever
Komisarek isn't going to the Marlies. He has a NMC and CAN NOT be sent to the AHL or another team without giving permission, and I doubt he waives to play in the minors.
I don't think he gets rid of Lombo. He's started to play much better over the last few games, and he's only played like half a season in like a year and a half. As he gets more play time he's been getting much better.
I think the highest I would want Burke to sign Grabo is 4mil, although, the way he's played the last 2 games (7pts) it's getting harder to rationalize signing him for 4 or less. |

Lombos situation was so much more obvious than Kessel's in that you're thinking "what the F*ck was that." With Kessel you're thinking, "so close, just a little off." I don't recall Bozie or Schenn having a empty net during the game with a few seconds to settle down and shot the puck like a professional hockey player should.
Also that hook with 5min left up by two, with no threat to score is another reason. - HipHopisDead
I think it has more to do with we like Kessel and hate Lombardi.
Lombardi healed the puck, just like Grabo healed it going for the empty netter.
That was a pretty soft penalty call, and they killed the penalty. Let it go. He is in no way the reason they lost. |

I'm happy about Liles going in tonight, but I really doubt Army will bring much to the party. When he came back into the lineup after his ankle thing, he wasn't really making much of an impact at all. Now the concussion. He's played so little this year, it's like being half a season behind. |

I disagree. Fleury did not steal the game. The Leafs beat Fleury enough to win the game. The Leafs gave the game away through their own mistakes, including Gus spitting the bit big time. - triggermartin
I think he stole it with all the number of odd man rushes the Leafs couldn't capitalize on when it was 2-0.

For me, if we are going to get a front line center from somebody then Kadri and Schenn can go in a package.
We still have Colborne and other D-men who can fill the void.
We won't miss those two if we are getting a good piece in return. - leafs93
interesting thought.. however one thing to add to it:
kadri and schenn are the only two top ten picks of the leafs in the last 20 years |

Ok, here...
Last year, when leading after two periods of play the Leafs were 25-0-4
This year 18-0-1 (Last night's game included, the first time they did it BTW)
That was not an issue last or this year. |

Kulemin has still done lots of good while in the lineup... He just needs a shot of confidence to get scoring. - Cimo
In every game he has scored (granted, not many) he immediately goes into beast mode....Once he gets going watch out. |

When you have a 4-1 lead with 13 minutes left, how exactly does the other goalie 'steal the game' for them? This game came down to the fact the Leafs could not keep the lid on. |

Kadri has sick hands, best on the team - good choice.
When he was on the ice with Grabbo and Kuli he was effective. Connolly and Lombo bring very little. Poor kid. - HipHopisDead
I couldn't agree more with you. I think he's used to playing at high scpeed and he gets that compliment from playing Kule and Grabo but Connolly can't really match his speed and intensity so makes Kadri look out of place. I say if they move Mac then bring Kadri back and put him on the line with Grabo and Kule then we can finally start to see the intensity of this kid. |

I don't think so... There were times when Fleury was down and out and the Leafs misfired... Fleury didn't even need to make the save... all cement in the gloves. |

That's exactly it. He's not 100% certain on what he needs to do, and because of that his feet are not planted...once anybody over 6 feet tall and 200+lbs gives him a shove, it throws him right off and with a second shove he's on his ass trying to make a last second attempt at swatting at the puck with his stick.
He plays a lot along the boards and in the corners, and that's great, but if he can't take the beating he's going to receive; then he's got some work to do. Cause when he's not getting shoved around, he usually comes out with the puck...but if this was the playoffs, he'd just be a rag doll on skates.
It sucks, I really wanted him to stay this time, but this...to me, was the most obvious weakness in his game vs. any other time he's been sent down. |

He didn't steal it, but kept the penguins close enough that a couple of bounces (Errors) that went their way got them points...
The game could have easily been 8-1 with 13 mins to play |

He kept it from being a blow out. Leafs also hit the post twice and missed the net twice on wide open chances.

I've never been a big believer in where a guy is drafted. It might tell you something of their skill level but truthfully if we land a big center then Kadri is never gonna play unless Grabo leaves town as a UFA and I would hate to see Grabo leave.
Schenn has value right now, but the type of player he is can be replaced easily in my opinion but big centers are tough to find.
If we can package them both, then hosta la vista baby!

It's a team game... so he is not the reason... but he was a big componant for the late 3rd period fall. Dude, he had more than enough time to get balanced and shoot from the middle of his stick with authority. If he was talented enough that's an easy goal. When you're like "what the heck was that" it's usually pretty accurate. Just like the first goal, Lupul's interference
Also Grabbo's stick was checked... he was just trying to float it deep. Just not deep enough but it wasn't a big neutral zone turnover that created a horrible odd man rush. |

Won't be Schenn. He and Phaneuf had the Malkin matchup most of the night, and worked very well for most part. Can;t really fault them for Malkin scoring with his left breast |
