That whole "Muskoka Five" thing that the media whipped up was ridiculous.
For some reason, our 5 most productive players were singled out as the reason for all of our futility. And some fans bought it.
Wasn't it Cox who coined the phrase? Or was it Simmons? - Leeman4Gilmour
They were singled out because they refused trades that would have landed us prospects and picks.......not to mention JEFF CARTER AND A FIRST.

I know, it's ridiculous. Seems like we bought him out 10 years ago lol - Domaju
Question! If he is a cap hit does that mean we could use him if we wanted too? What I'm getting at is, If by a fluke we won the cup - would he get a ring? |

Negative. He has to play a certain amount of games during the season...I think anyways. |

I don't know but the Leafs should be allowed to put him to work like driving the zamboni or something.

lol yes I know the point system, but its pretty stupid.
They should do half points. 2 Regulation win, 1.5 OT win, 1 for SO win, .5 for a loss in OT or SO, nothing for loss in Regulation.
there may be a flaw in that system somewhere, but you get the idea - senstroll
No they should go back to ties OR 3 points for a regulation win.
Get rid of OT and the Shootout.
Play 4 on 4 to allow more open ice and scoring ... not to mention alleviate the problem that the players are too big and too fast now for an ice surface that has not changed (and won't change see: cheap owners)
The truth is, the NHL LOVES this system it keeps more teams in the playoff picture for longer. |

Or go with the International point rules. 3 for regulation win, 2 for OT/Shootout win, 1 for OT/Shootout loss |

I wanted to use the blowme avatar (believe it or not when I downloaded the .jpg off of canoe.ca it was called "blowme.jpg".
Then I decided that Blowme was how I felt about the Canucks fans, because they are most obnoxious aholes on this site.
Once I listed Vancouver as my team... well, the name "GoneFullRetard" was apropos.
My location is a quote from "BeerIsGod"

No. to get a ring you have to play 1 game in the finals or play 41 regular season games...unless there's an exception in terms of a specific player like Crosby or something |
