I watched part of the 3rd period and the Leafs sure looked like they also need a d-man in the worst way. - Symba007

You probably didn't watch the Pens last night....they could use a d-man in the worst way. - stormey
so could the Flyers, maybe Washington and Chicago. |

He's not the reason the Habs made the playoffs last year or the year before, that's for sure. - hscesq
The team that will grab him will be a contender looking for depth. Weakness aside, he can help any PK in this league, except Subban |

That guy was only going to last so long at that level. Even if he somehow rediscovered that magic he'll never have understood what it takes to win the big prize in the league. His attitude and style of play is great if he was added to a team that had a winning style in the playoffs, but they've been OV's team for years and they've never done poop in the playoffs. He's the most explosive athlete the league has probably ever seen but that doesn't mean championships. I'll be the first to say i was wrong if he one day wins one.. - God_then_kovy
(frank) dude. My favorite part of this argument is the individualism his detractors place on him when the Caps lose.
Ovechkin has shown up in the playoffs. Green, Semin, Backstrom, Laich, goaltending, defense have not. Is that solely Ovechkin's fault? I don't think so.
If winning championships are what make a player great and the only thing, then there are a lot of poopty players in the NHL right now. A whole lot. And likewise, don't talk poop on Dustin Penner because he won a cup. Or Tomas Kaberle for that fact. By your criteria, both are better than Ovechkin. |

Fact : Raymond Bourque was overrated until he was traded to the Avalanche. |

Let's agree to disagree Desi and never ever talk about this again. Unless an OV led team wins something, then you can rub it in all you want. |
