this remind me sooooo much of when Robert Lang became a Canadiens...man the boards went nuts saying he was overpayed etc..... and then when he played a game for us he was a guy everyone was so glad we traded for ...
I was happy the minute we acquired Robert Lang....Im happy now minute after acquiring Gomez.....best player on our team.......
good to have a guy who won 2 cups playing a defensive system like NJ on our team now .

It was clear that the price for Lecavlier was probably much steeper, or he was never on the trading block in the first place. Gomez is only 29, has speed to burn, a great forchecker, good in his own zone, a great passer, and is also good on faceoffs. He is a heck of a better addition to the Habs than someone like Briere would ever be. |

Thats the only real positive I see. Gomez is still a good playmaker, lets hope he can become our Marc Savard. UFA wingers might be incited to play here with such a player in the lineup. UFAs don't care that we lost McDonagh (a prospect 1-2 or 3 years away from the NHL) or even Higgins (who doesn't really make players around him better). |

Atfer you let it sit for a bit, it's not that bad.
Gomez is an elite player. I just heard him on the radio and he has something to prove. He was disapointed with last year and is ready to show that he still has something left in the tank. He's only 29 and was a key factor in winning two Stanley Cups with the Devils.
On a positive side, we now have a great center which might lure some UFAs.
seems like it's an annual ritual for him... |

Around 10 o'clock last night, I was in my son's room explaining the fine art of personal grooming. It seems he has been using deodorant body spray in a quantity that overpowers every level of the house from the cozy confines of his basement bedroom. While explaining this subtlety of manhood, I caught a whiff of something rotten. After some searching around, I was met with the foulest stink imagineable in one corner of his room. It was worse than urine mixed with molding hockey gear and rotten fish. I moved around furniture to make sure it wasn't just a bad case of something molding. I have smelled that deathly stench once before, and it was dead mice. I am not looking forward to cutting into the walls tonight to locate the carcass(es).

The power of advertisement.
Edit: I'll make them spray themselves unconcious but not be aware of a dead mouse smell in their room.
