Mail it back to them with a check enclosed for the full amount at once.

SOB. Okay officer! haha

147 games without a shutout? Wow, that is a . . . . interesting stat! Just to put this into perspective, Vesa Toskala has 5 shutouts in approximately the same amount of his last 150 games. lol

If they add some key pieces on defense their going to be just fine. This year is do or die for the coaching staff.

One shutout in a 147 game span. And it was game two this year in NJ. The Flyers have zero ability to win a 1-0 game, and I believe they have only won two games this year when they have scored two goals or less.

Is it the players, system, coaching, talent, inability to finish games?

Weak goals mainly. Not too many games this season where at least 2 werent weak.

Giving up point blank chances.

No clue. I have zero idea of why this is the case. I guess the plan is to win 16 playoff games 4-3, or 5-4

Soft goals is definitely a major culprit. I don't believe for a second teams like Columbus, Edmonton, Carolina, NYI have more defensive breakdowns on average than the Flyers do.

He has only 4 goals and 17 points which mostly came in the first 20 games. He has a total of 41 hits. I dont think Souray is that good imo. You may like him but I rather go with what we have now.

5 total PP points.

- stveshdy

Sheldon Souray isn't a number 1 defenseman and even if he was, why would that matter? Souray isn't playing for a very good team. His offensive touch would still be somewhat of an upgrade.

Would it matter if there weren't any shutouts in those 16 playoff wins as the Flyers were skating the Cup around the ice?

if Leighton was our starter, we'd have more. That guy could string together a few.

He had 3 in one series against Montreal. The stat of a shutout isn't really important, my issue is once in a while you have to find a way to win a game 1-0. And right now I don't think there is a Flyers fan in existence who thinks they can ever make 1 goal stand up in a game.

Suter isn't the only option people. If he walks this summer, then Nashville is pretty much forced to deal Weber as he isn't going to want stick around if he sees his fellow all-star defenseman leave the club. What better time to do that then at the draft.

Weber is one of only 2 or 3 defenseman in the league worthy of actually replacing Pronger. As much as I like Suter, Weber is the better fit, and I'm starting to believe that Homer should do whatever is necessary to acquire his services.
