For me it would be 31. Young enough to still enjoy it, and old enough that everyone doesn't automatically treat me like an idiot.

Thats the problem the asking price for a defenseman is crazy.
- stveshdy

I agree but the whole point to the Flyers trading for Chris Pronger to begin with was because of a lack of physicality on the back end, which was noticed in the disappointing early exit from the playoffs.

Every team would love Shea Weber. If he was a UFA I would make a serious run at him, trading for him is a whole different animal. The type of assets it would take to acquire him would leave gaping holes in other areas.
- PLindbergh31

I would never trade for Weber during the regular season but the off season is different. In the summer you have time to adjust everything.

Most 21 year olds are idiots and should be treated accordingly. (Nutter excluded of course)

Still is a fun age to be.

It's going to be a complicated summer. It seems the Flyers do have interest in Ryan Suter but to me Suter is the perfect replacement for a guy like Kimmo Timonen and not Chris Pronger. Shea Weber in my mind is the perfect Chris Pronger replacement. Suter isn't the physical presence Pronger and Weber are and that is what we need. If Carle isn't re-signed I have to assume the Flyers are going after one of Suter or Weber. I can't help but feel Carle will be sorely missed if the Flyers do go after one of these big timer Dmen.
- Schenn2shine

I think your right. Suter isn't a physical defenseman. But Suter is an upgrade to Carle

Dont kiss my ass yet old timer.

I do quite a few things you could arrest me for (no drugs, thats a chapter Im done with).

1. Spray paint. Only bridges. Abandoned things. I like art.
2. Egg houses (of people I dont like. Never random)
3. Speed Daily

What you do in the frozen tundra of Manitoba is fine by me. It's up to the RCMP to keep you from unleashing the peanuts.

You're right but by going after Suter you're without that Hammer on the back end that Homer made a point to trade for to begin with.

Losing Pronger is a huge blow to this team. I remember Snider saying that goaltending and Pronger were a huge reason to the Flyers not winning last year and compared it to Boston losing Chara and having a Vezina Award Goalie.

But that hammer may not be available. So you have to do something to upgrade.

Unreal. You would be amazed to hear some of the excuses from drivers why they are speeding or driving recklessly.

I would still look into Sheldon Souray and Bryan Allen.

Not a fan of Souray. He doesnt do anything for me and just makes the Flyers older on the blueline. I guess he would be an upgrade though.
