Carter has no heart...as the games becoming bigger he gets smaller.

Will see what happens. Vick needs to be smarter with the ball and when he does leave the pocket he has to slide more rather than take the big hit. The NY Giants are in the Super Bowl but their wasnt one team in the division this year that impressed me. The Eagles went into NY with Vince Young and beat a NYG team that should of hammered the Eagles. You have to give credit to the Giants for getting this far. Their regular season wasnt that great but they are playing great football at the right time (especially in the playoffs).

The Giants this year are a mirror image of the 2007 team. Underachieving during majority of the regular season, played the undefeated Packers toe to toe, (just as they did with the Patriots in 2007) then got on a roll. The formula has been simple a dominant pass rush, big play offense, with a QB who performs better as the games get bigger.

I haven't seen a ton of Quincey, or Jones, but I really like what I have seen from Voracek. I really hope he is in the Flyers plans beyond this year.

Will see if they can take Brady down again in the Super Bowl. Im expecting Brady to play one hell of game this Sunday.

So do I. If he has time to throw the ball of course he's going to make plays. Key is how much time will he have.

Because?

I'm not overly excited about that trade. Quincey is an intriguing option though. A bit of a cap hell/question mark situation.

Quincey doesnt do anything for me. I rather add a player like Grossman or Boychuk in free agency while keeping Voracek who has been excellent for the Flyers this year.

Voracek is a young player who still hasnt hit his full potential.

Watching Voracek this year, he has exceeded my expectations in every area with the exception of goal scoring. He's had trouble finishing this year, but I have no doubts he will put together a hot streak.

Now that Gleason is out of the running, I hope Homer doesn't do anything overly-aggressive.

if the Flyers traded Jody Shelley to Winnipeg for Randy Jones, would it cause permanent SCALR?

seems like a very hard worker and big team guy.

any of you know the deal with him being the last one off the ice after a win... slapping five with the players as they skate off?

i know Asham used to do it too

No, that will come in the off season, when the Flyers resign Shelley to a new 3 year deal!

That's like trading 5 pounds of dogpoop, for 10 pounds of dogpoop. Trading a guy who is mostly a healthy scratch or a 3 minute a game player for a guy who will play 12-15 of sub par hockey.

The solution with Shelley is a one way bus ticket to Glens Falls.

He's been great. I hope they sign him to a good deal for both sides. He's much more responsible then I though he would be.

i was just looking at the D corp for Winnipeg on capgeek and the nightmare possibility of Randy Jones as a solution presented itself - wasn't being serious.

Depending on the cost, I'd welcome Luke Schenn on the Flyers.

Just go after Suter in FA with a vengeance. If you don't get him there are other options. I just want the Flyers to hold on to their picks and their young players. There are probably not going to be any true difference makers available at the deadline.

I would think something around the 3.5 range give or take.

If you assume the Flyers re-sign Jagr close to what he was at this season then it becomes interesting.

Looking at the cap numbers quickly and assuming the Flyers keep a few guys out of Harry Z, Sestito, Rinaldo, Holmstrom..

It seems to perhaps come down to roughly keeping Carle or Voracek.

Out of all people, its a little shocking, but I'd rather have the help on D.

I may be alone in saying this but I actually dont think the Flyers should sign Jagr in the offseason unless he takes equal/less money.
