Well then the Flyers wont be trading with Toronto. There is noway Homer deals JvR for Schenn (straight up). That would be like re-upping Castillo as DC for the Eagles.

The worst thing for the Flyers will be if they trade JVR for L. Schenn. If that happens mark my words it will go down as a trade that will live in infamy.

It depends on what the add-ons are. If we get Toronto's first with it and can draft a decent defensman, then our future on defense would look pretty good, and our offense wont be that devistated.

Yeah, see I don't get this. The object of playing a sport is to win, at least in my life. All things being equal, I would rather win.

Now I wont defend the way Carter acted after he got there, but saying you cant understand why he was pissed, that after signing a cap friendly deal to play in hockey heaven, he was sent to hockey hell, makes no sense to me.

Millions of people also take less money, to work at a place they love. It goes both ways. This was Carter....

I guess I just don't understand the Jason Werth mentality, or the mentality that seems to pervade this place, that you would rather take more money and lose, or that you cant feel bad about making lots of money, playing a game where the object is to win, going to place where you know you will lose constantly.

I would rather win. I would rather enjoy my job. I would rather like where I work. Money is secondary.

Even if you have to throw in a Second or Third with JVR, yes you would have to consider it. Not to mention that it may do the Brothers good to be on a team. i know it didnt work for the Kostitsyns' but look at the Sedins. Who knows... What we do know is Carle is UFA, Timonen has 1 year left and has said before he would like to retire when his contract is up, and Pronger most likely wont play again. Are you going to trust your future to Coburn and Meszaros, or be forced to pay a contract of like 7 million a year to a guy for the next 7-9 years? Or you could take a chance on a guy that has potential, a friendly contact, a want to stay with the team... and possibly a really good pick in the draft that could turn into someone like Couturier...

I agree TOR would be crazy to make that exact deal but Kadri coming back might be of interest. Not saying that would be the only part of the deal. I agree with Jsaq that our forward depth is not healthy enough to trade from right now. Only way I would consider a trade is if another forward is coming back too.

The last concussion I got that was serious enough for me to go to the hospital, they did full head, neck and upper chest CAT scans.
