Plus he has the best set of dangles from the back end surprisingly haha.
I'd also say he has better hands then everyone in the bottom 6. - Pilgor09
When your 5/6 defenceman has better hands than your highest paid players put together you know something's wrong. I'm looking at you Smyth and Horcoff. |

Smyth doesn't need hands, his whole career is about standing at the top of a crease. Horcoff though, especially when he was expected the be a top two center. How can a team have a #1 or #2 center who can't carry the puck. It makes no sense...stupid Kevin Lowe. |

So that goes back with my original point then, doesn't it?
Show's how pathetic our defense is when we are this worried about losing Andy Sutton. - Zombie
Our defense is pathetic, yes, but sutton is an answer to that problem. He is the best no.567 we could hope to have anytime soon. His intangables are quite impressive and he helps the team in many ways. We should worry about losing him, and unfort that is kinda sad, true, but i would take him irregardless if we had one of the best defenses, based on his inspired play here.
Edit: and as you can see many others notice it as well.
I (frank)in love sutton |

Very pathetic. But with all the young defencemen we've been playing, it's nice to have a consistant and solid effort from Sutton every game. |

This is one guy we must resign IMO. I don't think the oilers should do anything at trade deadline unless hemsky brings us an early 1st rounder or a late 1st and an "A" prospect. If not tell the other gms to suck it and resign him. Hes a perfect top 6 forward and we shouldn't be just throwing them away for nothing. Well not perfect but he's a good top 6 - howamidointhis
Wow he couldn't be farther away from a perfect top 6 forward. No chance the Oilers will get an early first rounder or late first rounder and a prospect for a guy who can be injured by the wind.... Will be very lucky to get a first for hemsky |

Hate the detroit trade, the nash trade seems likely/reasonable. |

we really gotta start taking bets......
However the outside oiler posters are coming around nicely< it was a 7th at best from some trolls a few weeks then it was 3rds and at best a second, now it's lucky for a first. You fags are coming across favorably; by the time the trade deadline comes you'll be agreeing with us.
A late first plus prospect or a 2nd and a high prospect or a late pick and a strong role player in the nhl. |

Jurco would be a good pickup, what I like about the NSH one is that Blum is so much closer to being NHL ready and the pick is more than likely a better one. |

I would do the Nashville deal, depending of course on the pick going the other way. |

I was thinking he gets 3.5ish. 4 is a bit of a surprise but so is the contract length |

In regards to RNH coming back, there are some interesting stats on how useful RNH is on the PP, or not so useful. SunnyP left a few comments and showed the stats. I'd encourage you to have a look:

In 37.3 games with RNH the Oilers have averaged 4.02 power plays per game and scored 30 goals in 150 chances = 20.00%
In 11.7 games without RNH the Oilers have averaged 2.83 power plays per game and scored 9 goals in 33 chances = 27.27%
Well are they getting more PP because RNH is in the lineup? If so then he is quite useful. The PP% may be done, but as a whole the PPG is higher. |

I'd rather throw caution to the wind and let RNH play the pp when he returns.

Personally, I don't think RNH on the PP is effecting the PP negatively. it's still good with him on. I do think maybe the PP is improving as we move along in the season. Players are buying into the system. Kudos to coaching in my opinion (Ralph Krueger).
Maybe the PP will continue to improve and RNH will take them to even a higher level. Either way, it's an interesting stat which goes to show that the system is what may be the reason for the success. Too bad 5 on 5 still sucks. |

Also a much smaller sample size without RNH.
And even then, just watching the kid play... He's sick!
