I'm thinking Manning too. He got hit a few times yesterday.

that was one of the worst beatings i have ever seen a qb take. He had no blocks from the Oline. he was getting clobbered and stood in there to make throws and kept getting back up. That is one thing i always loved about favre.

I am a big believer in Bernier, and think he will ultimately be better than Quick, but is unlikely to get the chance in LA; and with Lombardi's job hanging in the balance, there is no way he has the nads to trade Quick. So, it's time to trade Bernier while he still has some value, hopefully to an Eastern Conference team; we can throw in one of our second-tier defensemen (Drewiske, Martinez, Hickey, Muzzin) and should be able to bring back a Top 6 winger. However, any Top 6 winger won't do after the Penner fiasco; Lombardi needs to not just make a deal, but this time make the right deal. The Kings farm system/development pipeline has really slipped this year, with only Toffoli and Forbort remaining as top prospects; Bernier needs to bring back a good return, or the Kings could quickly slip out of the top 8 in the West.

It's great to have prospects, but eventually they need to be able to play; and the Kings have not been able to get many of their prospects to develop at the NHL level.
