What i said was watch out for the Blues the Preds not so much do you understand what i am saying now?

I understood you, but it still does not make sense considering based on your post you don't consider the Wings a threat. I understand saying not to worry about the Preds (even though I would disagree with that), but saying it's between the Sharks, Hawks, and Nucks but leaving out the Red Wings with the way they've been playing (especially at home) is kind of dumb.

IMO Schenn is not ready for the show. If he is so great then why did LA trade him and if Philly were to trades him....obviously something is missing from his game.
IMO JVR seems to be more of an asset. Philly is so offensively talented it is hard for JVR to get noticed. On Nashville he would have more of a offensive role.

Have you looked at the standings? why would you count the Preds out already?

Of course most of the hawks fans were "band-wagon-ers." If they weren't, why was this nifty little number written? Huh?

Interesting that so many of the Hawk fans that I saw didn't even seem to care that their team had lost. Strange. A lot of them had apparently come to party and that they did. Glad they had a good time. Seriously!

An insider with the Preds mentioned that vendors and concessionaires are ecstatic whenever Chicago comes to town as alcohol sales are equivalent to 2 or 3 regular nights of the same amount of attendees.

However, it's too bad that the bad behavior of some Hawks fans reflected poorly on those supporting Chicago who did manage to maintain self-control. Overall (based on what I saw), last night's group was the most disrespectful, boorish and loaded group of visiting fans that I've seen at 501 Broadway.

It all started with the anthem and the excessive (even for Chicago) yelling, clapping and whatever else Chicago fans do at that time. I understand it's tradition in Chicago and that's fine for you - do what you wish at the United Center but respect our ways when you are visiting. We respect the flag and our country - if you've been in the military, you know. The protocol, for us anyway, is hand over the heart and a minute of quiet respect and reflection.

One incident that I saw after the game (among several) describes last night's Hawk fans best: A group of immature, crisp-red-jersey-laden fans grabbed the full-size Weber stand-up cutout that's near the front exit and proceeded to put Shea horizontal with his head on a Hawks fan's crotch while the kid stroked his head pretending he was getting a BJ. Meanwhile, one of his (frank) buddies was making sure there were pictures to mark the occasion. They looked like absolute fools. Couldn't have planned a Hawks fan smear any better than they did themselves. Priceless.

Even better might be if Shea were to see the pic - next game might have a bit more intrigue.

Just wanted to say I really enjoyed the game this weekend. I'd never been to Nashville before and was totally blown away. I'm not a band-wagoner (I have an Alexei Zhamnov jersey to prove it), but for whatever reason, hadn't yet done a trip down south. Nashville is an awesome city and has one hell of a nightlife. I enjoyed the arena as well, although some of the chanting and in-game entertainment stuff reminded me of a college football game more than what I'm used to. I do understand, however that those traditions are yours, just like the anthem traditions are ours. For those that find the cheering of the anthem disrespectful, I suggest you check out the video of the last time the All-Star game was held in Chicago or go to a game at the UC yourself. I seriously doubt you'll still feel that way. I will say that the majority of Nashville fans, vendors, employees, etc. were really welcoming and friendly, which made the fan experience great for my group. As with any large mass of visiting fans, there are bound to be idiots (I saw the guys with the Weber cutout, pretty immature), but I find it a little obnoxious to hear the bandwagon name be thrown out so frequently. Yes, there are a lot of fans that have returned to the Blackhawks in recent years, in part due to the success of the team, but also largely due to the changes that were made after Bill Wirtz died. There were plenty of life-long fans that had been turned off by the way the team was run and have now come back when things are done differently. For every brand new Blackhawks jersey out there, I saw plenty of Nashville fans that spent the game jumping out of their seats chanting, "fight fight fight" any time there was a skirmish in front of the nets. I guess my point is, there are plenty of casual fans in every city and I don't think it's all that fair to be critical of a fanbase simply because we brought a lot of people down. If you don't want that many visiting fans in your building, then work to increase your season ticket holder numbers? And, please come visit Chicago when the Preds are in town- I think you'll find it to be a very entertaining city as well. Can't wait for the next trip down to Nashville!

All well said and I'm sincerely glad that you had an enjoyable visit and a good time. I for one appreciate your positive take on Nashville, our arena and our team. The good Hawk fans greatly out numbered the poor ones, of that I have no doubt, but the ones who were bad really stood out last night and that tends to reinforce the negative perceptions that some of us felt. It did not seem to be that way in the past regarding Hawks fans, at least not for me. Anyway, you've done an admirable ambassador's job of smoothing out some of the bad taste.

Nashville is a fun place and it's a doable drive or an inexpensive S-West flight which should increase inter-city travel for both sets of fans and heat up the rivalry as time goes forward, especially as long as the teams remain respectably good and the races tight.

Come back anytime.

On one hand, I didn't have a bad interaction with a 'Hawks fan last night. On the other, none of the ones I had any dealings with seemed to care about the game nearly as much as they cared about the two beers they were carrying.

The Hawks fans around me were fine. It did seem they cared more about getting more beer than the game itself but oh well. One of them even started in with the taunting of Crawford and was yelling how bad he sucked at him.

I think for a lot of us, this trip was about more than just the game. Not to excuse people for not paying attention and being sloppy drunks, but the "party" aspects of the trip definitely came into play. Honestly though, I had one of the most fun nights of my life on Saturday (despite the outcome of the game). I will be back soon!

I honestly do not consider the wings a threat they are old and a seven game series will take a toll on them as for the Preds i am sure you know the reason why if you are a fan of them they do not have the horses although if they make some trades obviously that can change and i still say you guys have one of the best coaches in the buisness . I do like St Louis and they are very hot right now.
