In Chicago, he served as the architect under Dale Tallon, and was big in drafting a Buffalo area kid he knew well in Patrick Kane number 1 over Turris and van Riemsdyk. It looks like a slam dunk in hindsight, but I was at that draft and many were questioning if Kane was big enough to be the #1 pick....right up to until the final seconds.. He was instrumental in drafting Toews over Backstrom as well.. He then stole Patrick Sharp from the Flyers for the infamous Matt Ellison, and somehow managed to get Versteeg and Havlat for a song....he also signed Niemi...

Every Sabres fan, Hockey fan, Hockey media outlet insists the Sabres should do something different. ANYTHING different.
In fact, its so past needing to happen, all the fans and media outlets are creating rumors and would be scenarios left and right thinking one will stick.
Sabres Management - Were not doing a dam thing, because that would be to admit we totally F-ed up this team for Mr. Pegula and he is going to fire us and the fans will come after us wielding torches and pitchforks. So instead we will keep lying to Mr. Pegula and the fans about injuries and other bull until we come up with an escape plan. |

Tallon built the Hawks team as a winner, not Dudley. Everyone in the league knows that.
Dudley's draft record is incredibly poor and did no good for the Panthers organization. |
