People were crying about that trade..."how could you trade Powe, he's SO fast!"

Agreed. Loved the Dominic Moore idea you posted yesterday.

Don't know if it's feasible or not, but I think he'd be a perfect fit. He could pair with Talbot and create an annoying and formidable PK line. Both very good defensive players and pests. You can't have enough hard-working guys like that, especially in the bottom six of your forwards (depending on the price of course).

I hope Powe gets booed everytime he touches the puck.

No Zac attack at morning skate, game time decision for him. We might see Jody Shelley tonight.

Took a puck off his grill yesterday at practice. Was reported he'd play yesterday, guess he might miss tonight.

I think the opp defense is just making a lot less space for the entire line out there. I dont think it's Jagr slowing. He is still strong on the puck, and the turn overs are more from the opps just gmae planing to expect those type of passes...

I think the line needs a shake up, get Read up there and add someone that can speed into the zone. And give Briere a familiar face.

Read-Giroux-Jagr
Hartnell-Briere-Voracek
Talbot-Scehnn/Coots-Simmonds
Harry Z- Schenn/Coots-Rinaldo

The turnovers are from poor decision making with the puck, not from team's game planning to expect those passes. It's one of the biggest issues with the team.

I didn't look at the numbers and don't know if it's feasible or not, but I agree he's the kind of player that would be a great 4th line center on this team. I don't see Couturier in that spot next year (at least I hope he isn't).

If he keeps getting better, we may not see him in that spot next month let alone next year.

Couturier is earning more minutes. I dont know if the Flyers will want to over extend his minutes bc of him being a rookie. We all talk about playing the guy who gives you the best chance to win. I think Couturier being on the ice more gives them exactly that.

I wouldn't mind him staying on the 4th line if they can work him onto the powerplay. I'm surprised he hasn't gotten many looks there as the PP hasn't exactly been scorching hot lately.

I hope Bill is right and they double shift him at times tonight. Give him ice time and see how he can flourish.

Agreed, Couturier should be in the mix in the top-9 next season.

I've heard his skating described as "Powe-like". Does that make you feel any better?

Dont know how the Flyers will get him more minutes but it needs to be done imo. You have to reward a player when he is producing for you on both ends of the ice.

I love how he doesn't get overly amped for a goal too, like he expected it to go in, not jumping for joy that he got a goal. Tells me he's confident and believes he should be scoring. I love that kid.

Just like the Flyers rewarded Bob after a magnificent performance vs. the Isles last week?

Oh, wait...

Did he not start the winter classic and in back to back games last week?
