It says the habs save a lot of cap space and get a player as "productive" Cammalleri.
And a 2nd round pick.
And they get bigger.
All of the above are things the habs obviously don't need and that fans were not complaining about before the trade. - Pecafan Fan
It wasn't a terrible trade. |

You obviously read Mackenzie's article. There was a lot more to it than the portion you posted. This is NOT a bad trade. - hscesq
No heart for no heart and marginal prospect for KHL wizard. Seems pretty good. |

He puts his body in front of the net, and is a 25 goals scorer. He wasn't my first pick but at his pricetag i'm fine with him. Would have like the 2nd was in 2012 instead of 2013 though... |

And a 2nd for a 5th, and much needed significant cap space. |

And?
Edit: Oh, right, I forgot that Mcguire could rebuild a team overnight. - Pecafan Fan
Nope, but Gauthier sure can't and he should not be allowed. I have not judge the trade. All that's being said is Gauthier did not talk to the 23 teams that he would accept the trade. |

Kamo is the wildcard. if he comes back over he could be a 1b.... |

I'll stick with, it wasn't terrible. Bourque sucks but you got some cap space for the next couple of years (but I believe Bourque's contract is two years longer). |

Assuming you mean Ramo, I don't agree. We don't need a goalie, so it was smart to include him if that is what was necessary. |

Yes, but remember, whatever they do, people will complain.
I'm not stupid enough to think the habs are going to turn things around because of a move like that. But maybe, finally, they realize their "core" isn't what they need in order to be competitive (especially with Boston in their division) and they are going to find ways to dismantle it and hopefully be better for it in the long run. |

2013 is a much better draft in 2nd round

Yeah, but 3 million for a 25 goals guy isn't exactly a "problem". |

One can hope that this is the first step in the admission. |

Bourque: Inconsistent
Cammalleri: Consistent*

He may very well do so. But it doesn't matter from a Hab standpoint, because he was doing very little on the positive side in MTL. |

The good news is that PG said he made the trade to make his team bigger. That could mean that they will re-sign AK and Moen... |
