yeah, douche move but big deal. this team has a recent history of treating its most skilled players like garbage, as soon as they have a bad season, or month, or shift.
zednik, ryder, ribiero, koivu, kovalev, even bloody tanguay was having a good year and we got rid of him in the off season.
kostitysn has been one of our most consistant forwards the last few years, but apparenly almost everyone wants him gone too.
if everybody wants quiet little boyscout, polite, follow the crappy system players, lets just find 12 darche clones, and 6 hal gill clones, lose 99% of our games, but be happy that they aren't 'big meanies' - zedniksghost
I really don't agree with your point...Tanguay wasn't resigned because the team had concern about his shoulder though. Of your list, only Cammalleri blamed his teammates in the media. You just don't do that, especially when you are underperforming. oh and you can keep those useless clones |

Cammy needs motivated properly. i bet he hasn't had a decent cannoli since he got there. pathetic. |

Just like Cammalleri, Carter had one big year (46-48 goals) and didn't have that production since. Both players' value are at their lowest as well.
EDIT: Carter 491 GP and 360 pts; Cammalleri 533 GP and 406 pts. Actually Cammalleri has better stats. |

fair enough. i'm likely just making excuses for the guy either way. i'm a fan of his, and think (for the most part) his skill and success outweigh an attitude problem. |

Eric Engels: Cammalleri's Comments Reinforce his Image as a Selfish Player - EricEngels
i have come to the conclusion that the players are not to blame for the teams lack of success. i don't blame cammalleri, gomez, gionta, plekanec or anyone else. management made their decision on who the teams core would be comprised of and then never surrounded that core with the complimentary players needed to succeed. year after year, management has let the core group down. at a certain point, players get fed up with the ineptitude of management which has largely led the team to the point they're at today. i am actually feeling bad for the players having to endure the ineptitude of gainey and gauthier. they go out there and get booed and feel the wrath of fans and media alike, yet it's the bozo's upstairs who have hung them out to dry. |
