After taking office in 2009, with spending and debt already at record high levels and the deficit headed to $1 trillion, President Obama proceeded to pass his own $830 billion stimulus, auto bailouts, mortgage relief plans, the Dodd-Frank financial reforms and the $1.7 trillion ObamaCare entitlement (which isn't even accounted for in the chart). While spending did come down in 2010, it wasn't the result of spending cuts but rather because TARP loans began to be repaid, and that cash was counted against spending.
In 2011 and 2012, the pace of spending was slowed when a new emboldened breed of Republicans took back the House promising to end the binge. The House Budget Committee, headed by Wisconsin Rep. Paul Ryan, has identified about $150 billion of new spending Mr. Obama wanted in 2011 and 2012 that Republicans would not approve. As the chart shows, government spending as a share of GDP fell, and taxes were not raised. But to attribute this drop in government spending to the president or congressional Democrats would be dishonest.
It is so convenient how he set up Obamacare to take affect AFTER the election isn't it..
Increased the number of jobs, decreased the deficit. Yup, hasn't proven anything.
Romney has gone into no detail at all about what he'll cut out, and it's a big enough question that if he had any answers he'd do very well to reveal them. - Feeling Glucky?
Where? I love when people say this. Increased the number of jobs at McDonalds? I love when people say he has helped education meanwhile in the world of reality two tenured professors and four tenured teachers I know can't find a job for two yrs now. Two schools have closed and programs are getting cut from every school district. Helping education? Get your head out of the sand. Obama has said he was going to do alot of things but has done nothing. Don't tell me he has helped the economy when I live here and see what reality is. This country has not been in such a depressed state in my forty years of existence. I know it's Bush's fault

Senators Again Urge Obama to Answer Key Questions about Benghazi Attack
11:51 AM, Oct 31, 2012 • By ROBERT ZARATE
Four senators sent a letter to the White House today, urging President Obama and his advisers to answer the growing list of questions about the 9/11 attack in Benghazi, Libya, which lawmakers have posed in writing to his administration over the last month. Senators John McCain (R-Ariz.), Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.), Kelly Ayotte (R-N.H.), and Ron Johnson (R-Wisc.), the authors of the letter, explain to the president:
The American people deserve to know all the facts surrounding the terrorist attack in Benghazi on September 11, 2012, that resulted in the murder of four Americans—including Ambassador Chris Stevens. Unfortunately, you and your senior administration officials have not been forthcoming in providing answers to the many questions that have emerged.
On October 9, 2012, we sent a letter to the senior intelligence officials in your administration in an effort to obtain answers to these questions. More than three weeks have passed, and we still have not received a response. To make matters worse, since that original letter, we sent several subsequent letters to you or to your senior administration officials asking a number of questions, and we have failed to receive a single letter in response.
The American people and their representatives in Congress need to understand what you knew about the Benghazi terrorist attack and when you knew it. We also have a right to know what steps you and your administration took—or failed to take—before, during, and after the terrorist attack to protect American lives…

The usual Bush retort. New material? - Cptmjl
oh, i guess with time it just goes away. people should just forget.
you're right. 4 years is enough time after those disasterous 8 years. let's give the republicans another chance.
come on, bro. all i know is that if obama could manage to (frank) things up as bad as bush did i wouldn't be chirping (on a hockey website no less) about how bad anybody else was doing a mere 4 years later.
You probably shouldn't read it, it contains facts. I know how much you hate those. - Feeling Glucky?
Table 1.1 (http://www.whitehouse.gov...y2013/assets/hist01z1.xls) shows the official White House deficit Number PROVING Obama's deficit numbers are HIGHER by a large margin, than Bush's

NOW, please tell us how the White House numbers, clearly showing Obama's Deficit numbers being astronomically higher(-4145,939) than Bush's, are wrong!!!

First off "bro" I never said I was a fan of Bush jr. Do you want me to bring up the Carter administration dare I say Clinton? WTF would that have to do with anything? Exactly. Obama has done nothing for this country. 4 years is enough time to decide whether someone is doing a good job, Obama is not. He has delivered on zero and continues to do so. The morons that support this guy keep hoping for some "change" like he has promised. Four years from now if this guy gets re-elected(god forbid) you libs will still be blaming Bush. When does it end? Everything this guy stands for is unamerican. I will continue to be an American as well as a capitalist and will continue to do so no matter how much it has become a dirty word. His supporters are either celebrities or people that want help with something but don't want to help themselves. Unfortunately Americans today all want a hand out instead of going out and earning it themselves. Obama couldn't have come along at a better time. This guy gets elected again this country will be in a state from which it can't recover. All these people crying for "change" will once again be crying for it.

Why is it ok for Obama to blame his problems on Bush but not the other way. The biggest reason for the flop was due to the subprime mortgage bubble bursting which was a direct result of clinton. Can we not in turn then blame Obama's lack of production on Clinton?

No you can't. Only on Bush. If you want to have a discussion with a liberal you have to learn how to speak with them. If you don't do it there way they will throw their hands in the air and cry fowl. Forget about facts or figures.
ehh it was more of a general statement and it came to me when i was reading your thing so i quoted you..
you are a beacon of stayin out of things.. all i ask of anyone is to actually look into the issues that they feel are important and take the mainstream media with a grain of salt
