If you did not see the game, then you have little to stand on.
- Doppleganger

This has nothing to do with the game. It has to do with discussions with you. There is no discussion because you fail to read what people write and just post whatever the next point you want to get out is.

Because of this, I won't respond to anything else you write in this thread

For some leaf fans, primarily those on the leafs troll patrol. it meana everything in the world!!!!

For some reason they see the NHL stats are as sacred as the Bible, the Koran, Tao-te-ching, Upanishads & Veda or whatever holy books or teachings they want.

I and another poster ( a leaf fan ) innocuously commented on a couple (or so) turnovers that Karrlsson and OV were involved in, and they are treating these observation as Blaspheme.

WTF does it matter to them? I believe their sole purpose is to simply stir the crap.

- Doppleganger

personally, this argument ended when you admitted that "time and time again" was really just the 2 times.

As suspected, you were just talking up Karlsson because he's an Ottawa player, and when it came down to it, Ovechkin not scoring was more on Ovechkin than Karlsson.

True as this may be, you have even less to stand on, what with the blinding homerism.
- Schenn-Sational!

How can seeing a couple of plays transpire, in a game, be homerism?

I thought nothing of mentioning these plays, when commenting on how well the team played even though they lost the game.

Apparently if these plays are not recorded by the crack staff of impartial NHL stats team that work every NHL game, then it did not happen.

And everyone else acknowledged that the stats could be incomplete.

When you can't prove that I did not see the plays that I commented on then there is no point to continue posting otherwise.

I was willing to, but the leaf troll patrol won't let it go. They insist these plays did not happen, and won't take the word of myself and a leaf fan who actually watched the game.

Why should I cave to their insistence that Karlsson did not cause OV to turnover the puck to him a couple of times, when he did?

cause the game was almost 2 weeks ago, karlsson hasn't followed it up with another good defensive game. it water under the bridge now.

Never said time and time again, in reference to the two or three turnovers.

I suppose you expect an Ottawa fan, watching a Senator game vs the Capitals to notice a few good plays made by Erskine, and comment on them.

I was just curious how something that was happening all night didn't get recorded once. When you explained to me that it only happened twice, I could understand how it would be missed. However it makes your language extremely homeristic.

You obviously did not watch the the game, I did. Otherwise you would have seem Karlsson stop OV at the Sens blueline time and time again, stripping him of the puck and starting a counter attach, leaving OV circling in the Sens zone and trying to join the back check.

tell that to the leaf troll patrol, they can't have anyone thinking that Karlsson played a good game, and helped keep OV off the score-sheet...................because it does not show up in the stats.

some of them conceded that karlsson was a part of ovechkin not scoring, but he certainly wasn't the reason.

Good question. If you had watched the game you would have seen what I saw, and could care less what the stats showed, or did not show.

What does it matter to you, are you a Caps fan, or a OV fan?

Never stated that Karllson was the sole reason OV was held pointless. But he played the bulk of his minutes against the Caps top line, and with his speed kept OV mostly to the outside, and recovered the puck from him a few times when he broke up plays.

I watched the entire game, and agree that Karlsson had OVs number all night 5 on 5. Sure OV got his fair share of shots on the PP, but he was held pointless and Karlsson who played between 27 and 28 Minutes had a lot to do with it.

Ottawa was the best team on the ice for two periods, but could not solve Volkoun who stole the game for the Caps.

But after the great game in Washington they came home and crapped the bed...................it's going to be a long season if this keeps up.

as I said, he was not the sole reason, but a big part of it. If you had seen the game, you would probably agree.

No, I'm a Schenn fan, in a thread about Schenn, that you decided to derail by talking about how awesome Karlsson was in that one game, with nothing to back it up.

This is one of those instances where you don't acknowledge other people's posts.....

Spezza IS overpaid.

Did you fail to read the posts after that about people saying they'd take all but one or two people on that list? (one of which was paid half of what Spezza is?)

May be he's the president of the anti-homer post league of America.

What does it matter to you why he's interested?

Was just watching the Sens game and I saw Karlsson get deked out of his jockstrap by Seguin. Then the commentators said statistically speaking, he was having a rough go of it, allowing more even strength goals then any other defender in the NHL.

By the way, I'll say at the outset that no one else could possibly have anything to contribute to this conversation, because I saw that play.
