If this happens MTL could be one heck of a team. They badly need to shed that salary. I hope they have to give up more just to dump Gomez and take back a bad contract. Gomez must be one of the least tradable players in the NHL today (yes, that is a made up word).

I wouldn't have a problem acquiring Gomez and sending Horc their way. I like Horcoff and think he is a great leader but regardless, there is no way the Oilers are after Gomez.

It is seriously criminal to tease Habs fans about this possibility unless it is real.

why would you take horcoff over gomez? even with the 2m cap difference, gomez is still more valuable. he has 1 less year on his deal, is a better player and consistently brings it in the playoffs.

gomez is a much better option than horcoff.
