Holy crap Pikey. That's pretty (frank)ing good. Well done.

ty

To be honest it took less time than Hobgoblin and I'm not sure why. Guess I'm just improving.

I like my Dr Strange more...if only I could post it.

That's clearly Phoenix.

Not nice of you to point out how badly I messed up that Wolverine drawing.

I'd like to see him attempt the Mystique I posted as well. That one has real facial expression and I want to see if he can re-create it.
- sanfordnson

Fine I'll do it. Recreating things seems to be something I can do to a reasonable degree and I'm improving in that regard each time but I wish I could learn to create from scratch.

in all seriousness, it's his best drawing.

it actually really bothers me that he may be getting good at something. it hurts to see him do well.

- kicksave856

If it's any consolation to you, I am in no way happy with my own drawings.

Also my cousin draws in a very cartoony style and I had to write his effing comic for him because he couldn't think of any ideas.

That particular artist captures facial expressions really well. that was an issue during Messiah CompleX.

Just looked at that Mystique pic again...should be able to do it by Tuesday night at the latest. Probably tomorrow night depending on how well work goes. It's not going to take near the amount of work as Juggs did.

He's given Mystique a very delicate appearance I associate more with Emma Frost.

He's good that way. Does lot's of cool things with the panels and kind of works them into the drawing. Very creative.

even people who go from "scratch" are doing so based on shapes and poses that they basically have memorized, otherwise they are using models or those wooden model aids that are poseable.

Lately I've been digging Olivier Coipel's work. Which proves I'm not a racist since he's black.

Yeah for sure they have really good libraries built in their memory but I sit down and want to draw something and I end up blanking.

I think maybe I should spend less time on individual pics and try to draw a lot more sketches. Like draw Juggernauts shape but not spend three hours colouring him in.

That is pretty much their job, yeah. Although sometimes I've found certain pencillers end up looking awesome because their inker is much better at drawing than they are coughcoughLiefeldcough.

that library is built in from doing drawings thousands of times
i don't know if a gesture sketch would give one the same knowledge and familiarity (imo)

You could be right but when I sit down to draw something I find my problem is getting a cool pose to show up, not really spending time tinkering on details.

I feel like I should become very good at getting to this point:

Could be. Could be turned into pretty much anyone. Juggernaut looked pretty much like that but much broader and with a smaller head at one point.

He can put his arm back on, you can't.

Thus proving that dexter would beat Batman.

Dexter has literally no advantages over Batman.

Dexter is pooerer, weaker, slower, dumber and not a ninja.
