Do you mean the shading stops too abruptly or are you being sarcastic and there's too much shading?

neither. the shading areas are well placed etc but dont be afraid to start experimenting with making it darker here and there. gives more depth when you go darker. make a photocopies of the drawing and try different things. you're doing great so far

You have to see the original. I press down plenty hard when I want to keep lines. If you want it black, you have to take out ink. That's a whole other ballgame and I'm not too interested in it.

Yeah maybe next time I'll do a black n white only scan to simulate inking and see if that gives me any ideas. Thanks dave!

Thanks. He's my favourite X-Men character so I was totally into drawing this one. Didn't want to (frank) it up too bad.

When I'm done drawing these things, I can see the image on the page underneath. I think if I push harder, I might as well ink it but I will try to play around with the darkness of the shading more.

Ok that'll be a good challenge. I'll try Galactus.

I like your point about the shading being pretty monochromatic but I'm not about to try to jam my pencil through the page when what should happen for comic art is an ol' fashion inking.

Maybe I should take a course...that's an idea....

all tattoos whether flash or hand done go to stencil
this was lovingly hand done from a kirby by a friend of ours who's into all the same stuff. he also did adrian's creature from the black lagoon and boris karloff as frankenstein. it's quite a leg lol

more of a painter the last years if i'm doing anything. but i used to really focus on drawing. i do love it i need to get back to it.


also you can just go over areas multiple times or press a little harder you won't tear the page stay calm.
