My sister in law went to Osgood.
My bro went to Guelph vet school.
Those are two boring facts.

Both very good programs. I used to work across from Osgoode hall.

Oh yeah? Nice. I have several of friends that graduated from Western's program. One of them actually got his Ivey business degree combined with his law degree, and then went on to get his Masters of Law from Cambridge, and is now just finishing up his PHD of Law (from Cambridge).

He's disgustingly smart.

Believe it or not, there's more to it. He actually went to another European school for a year, on an athletic (well, sort of athletic) scholarship. If I write this part out though, a quick google will come up with his name.

It almost sounds made up, doesn't it?

No, it was Maclean's rankings. He was trying to post that to show that Carleton was highly ranked, and the Toronto schools didn't make the list. LOL. First, York is based out of Toronto. Second, Macleans classified the schools according to the programs they offered. So, the fact that UofT offers so many masters and PHD programs means they were on a different list. He failed to realize that. LOL.

Obviously, in terms of Ontario schools, UofT makes Carleton look like a high school. It has a fair amount of international recognition. As does Queens, Western, to a lesser extent, Laurier. Waterloo for their tech related programs.

Liar Liar, big boy pants on fire. Did NOT say any toronto schools did not make the list I said , "don't see to many toronto universities here".

Why do you have to resort to lies, to spin your trollish musing?

here's the post you are lying about.

Which is still very stupid, given the rest are in different (many would say better) categories.

But maybe I'm just misunderstanding what "to many" Toronto universities means. Is this Ottawa talk?

Well you were the one who first stated that the were NO highly rated High schools in the Ottawa region, and posted a link to a site to "prove" that "fact" (air quotes).

One quick look at YOUR "evidence" (air quotes) reveled that THREE of the top SEVEN were in fact from the Ottawa area.

You were presented with these facts, and you clammed up, and have never addressed you huge gaff since.

You then decided to take aim at the Ottawa Universities, and inferred that toronto had much better ones, when compared to the two in Ottawa. I posted a list, rating Universities, that showed an equal number of Universities (from Ottawa and toronto) on that list, and pointed out that there were not "to many" toronto based Universities on it.

Now you claim you didn't understand that "to many" did not mean "no" universities, when you posted a lie, trying desperately to put words in my mouth, to help keep the tiny flicker of your spin alive in your mind.

By the way, it's been almost a week since a leaf scored a goal.

Happy trolling.

Three of the top 7 what? What are you even talking about?

Look, don't blame me for the state of affairs in Ottawa, and the type of education your children receive. It's not my fault.

I think you've been living under "to many" power lines.

selective memory loss????

It's funny, you know the saying, the apple doesn't fall too far from the tree? Think about the kind of kids that city churns out. Take a look at school rankings. the top 75, probably about 60+ are out of Toronto. You have to get to 88 to find the first one from Ottawa.

http://www.ourkids.net/bl...gh-school-rankings-10020/

Universities? Carleton is mocked. University of Ottawa is mocked.

It's probably taboo to say, but there are some logical conclusions to be made here.

- prock

When anyone clicks on your link it bring them to this list (AKA your "evidence")

TOP 10 SCHOOLS IN ONTARIO

SCHOOL - CITY – OVERALL RATING ’09/10 – LAST 5 YEARS
St. Michael’s Choir (Sr), Toronto, 9.8, n/a
St. Michael, Kemptville, 9.6, 9.7
Pierre Elliott Trudeau, Markham, 9.2, 9.2
London Central, London, 9.1, 9.6
Colonel By, Gloucester, 9.1, 8.9
Oakville Trafalgar, Oakville, 9.1, 8.8
West Carleton, Dunrobin, 9.1, 8.8
Chesley, Chesley, 9.1, 8.5
Père-René-de-Galinée, Cambridge, 9.0, 8.0
Bayview, Richmond Hill, 8.9, 9.2

The three Bolded Schools are in the Ottawa region.

And when I presented their locations...........you dropped this issue and moved on to trash the Ottawa Universities.

WRONG. learn to read a map (didn't teach map reading in toronto?)

Three of the top seven are right here in Ottawa or the Region.

St. Michael, Kemptville

West Carleton, Dunrobin

I wasn't even paying attention to you.

So, I guess what you're saying is, those who want a decent education in Ottawa, try to go to the suburbs, to get away from the average Ottawa citizen? I like how you say "in Ottawa, or in the region". None of them are IN Ottawa.

Gotcha. Is it your contention that those places aren't "to far" to be considered a part of Ottawa?

Did you even look at the locations??? Yes, Kemptville is just over the river, which is the Ottawa City limit, but the bulk of the pollutions commutes to Ottawa every day. It's an easy 35 to 40 minute drive from Kemptville to the Parliament Buildings.

Colonel By is less than a 15 minute drive to the Parliament Buildings & West Carleton is 30 minutes away from the Parliament Buildings. Hardly the Suburbs.

You said no Ottawa High schools are highly rated, at the website to which you provided the link, in an attempt to insult Ottawans.

I'm actually not joking. Think about it.... The number of civil servants in that city is astronomical. It's a good portion of the population. I find it tends to be a different type of person that gravitates towards those kinds of jobs. High security, advancement based on seniority instead of performance, low work drive. What kind of person do you think that will attract? Now, take hundreds of thousands of them, and put them all together. What do you get? Ottawa.
