I stand corrected what little time I saw of him must have skewed the results. I now change my opinion of the deal to WHAT THE (frank) WAS HOMER THINKING

A lot of us are wondering that.

So probably the most patiently run organization who allows players to develop and gives them chances to make the team and mark poorly treated Leino.

Got it.

Yet that's why Detroit traded him because they flat out said he was lazy.

Coach Mike Babcock would tell us after games how Leino was too easily snuffed out by the opposition. He said it so often it became a verb -- "The guy got Leino'd on that play."

Leino has to do more then what he did in the playoffs before that is accurate.

Carter is a 40 goal scorer which is accurate, what we hope to be accurate is for him to do it consistently on a yearly basis.
- ob18

carter 1 40 goal season = 40 goal scorer

Leino averages 1.1PPG in the playoffs yet is a fluke?

just asking

Don't believe I said he was a fluke more like he has to do more then have a hot run in the playoffs to say Homer fleeced the Red Wings.

No he's the most trade-able player because he lacks the NTC or NMC with still a huge amount of untapped potential.
- ob18

exactly.
that is the only reason I wold trade him.
If Kimo or Briere won't go and they won't just send hartnell to the A, then that leaves you with dealing Carter.
or both Coburn and Carle

Hartnell would waive his NTC if they asked him.

most players will waive when they are no longer wanted by said team, most GMs respect the wish and ask for a list of possible teams. If a deal is struck and the player isnt amicable about going there see , heatley, dany, edmonton

I would believe the vast majority of players would waive their NTC if their team asked (depending of course on what team they were asked to waive it for).
