I don't know, I'm coming into the conversation alittle late. Now if we're talking about who's the better player, Delmore or Desjardins, then you have to look at the fact that Desjardins was able to accomplish what Delmore has and then some.

Delmore has never proven to be a well rounded top defender. He's always been offensive, but weak in his own end like a Sandis Ozolinsh. Now, even though Leino isn't known for his defensive play, he controls and hangs on to the puck so well that I think he really could match Jeff Carter's skill. Correct me if I'm wrong but Carter was drafted to the NHL and Leino was not, so Carter has a slight advantage because he's played in the NHL longer. Leino could very well turn out to be better.

Delmore has never proven to be a well rounded top defender. He's always been offensive, but weak in his own end like a Sandis Ozolinsh. Now, even though Leino isn't known for his defensive play, he controls and hangs on to the puck so well that I think he really could match Jeff Carter's skill.
