A worker was injured early Tuesday when he was hit in the head by a forklift at a pet food business in Lower Nazareth Township, according to emergency radio reports.

The man, described as in his 30s, reportedly was bleeding severely after the 12:20 a.m. accident at Phillips Feed and Pet Supply on 3747 Hecktown Road, just east of Route 33.

An ambulance was dispatched to the scene. The man's condition was not immediately available. An officer radioed that he was not trapped.
