I'm still in disbelief that it was the top story on the site.

Kessel looked terrific. He was all over the ice. I was pretty shocked he didn't look more rusty. The guy unfortunitely didn't get a goal, but they come come if he keeps playing like that.

And he played over 7 minutes more than his avg. in Boston. I said all along his ice time, not Marc Savard was the key for him getting even better stats in Toronto.

So he would not benefit from playing with a "play-making" center????

Perhaps you know more about the NHL and the players than Pierre McGuire, who has said consistently that a large part of Kessel's success, was due to playing with a play-making center (Savard) and that the leafs will need to upgrade in that area in order to fully utilize Kessel's talents.

I'll bet you dollars to doughnuts that the next quest for BB is to find such a center to play with the Messiah...............just like the leafs were always looking for someone to play with Sundin.

no doubt that adding a playmaking center will help... but Kessel will be fine without Savard, with all the extra time he'll be getting, and the passes from Kaberle.
