Believe it or not, teams are allowed to have more than one good player.

Ones that are built for the cup offer have 3 or more!

I understand this being a foreign concept for you, but it's true!

dont know about that yet bro....

too soon. tootoo soon.

but yes winning teams often do.

I made no predictions, just a statement of fact. Teams poised to win the cup often have more than 3 good players.

Wouldn't expect a moron like you to know how to spell his name correctly. We will buy you a beer to cry in, when you find out that Turris and Karlsson opt for other teams next year and Sens top salaries will be Bobby (can't score for sh!t) Ryan and Dion (Bigfoot) Phaneuf. Enjoy!

Sure enjoyed watching the Senators in the ECF, coming within one goal, in double overtime, in game seven, from advancing to the Stanley Cup Finals, for the first time in 10 years .................... what's it been now for the leafs, more than 50 years?

Ooh, lets play this game again. Yes, it's been a while since the Leafs' last cup.

How long since the Sens won anything of imp- oh never? cool. Lets go back and forth on this for the next 10 pages.

Yes the Sens certainly took full advantage of playoff officiating and not being called for interference, holding clutching and grabbing more talented players. They managed to beat two scrub teams in an easy - unfair bracket. The first good team that played them in the playoffs, wiped their ass with them when required.

I hope Turris stays. Hes their Bozak and best center. kind of sad unless youre a fan of a rival team.

Man, i would hate for my teams future to be saddled with Ryan and Phaneuf. With an owner so cheap and broke he wont be paying to get out of like the Leafs did.

Just imagine being the Sens GM for a minute, trying to convince other teams to take Phaneuf or Ryan off your hands without giving up 3 first rounders.

I bet you didnt enjoy it as much as we enjoyed watching a team on the rise, while your team won the 28th pick, lost a key Dman for nothing, and couldn't unload Phaneuf for half price.

Enjoy that 22+ million of crappy money on your books when it comes time to re-sign Karlsson.

It will be interesting to see, who will be the next captain of the Sens when Karlsson leaves. Will it be 13 goal scorer and career underacheiver Bobby Ryan? Or will it be bargain basement journeyman Tom Pyatt? Another interesting item worth watching will be whether Canadian Tire opts out of sponsoring the Sens (just like Bank of Nova Scotia did) Perhaps Dollarama will pick up the naming rights.

this is true, although I think, given their cap situation, they are about as likely to lose Karlsson as we are to lose one of MNM.

They don't need them.

They have Karlsson and the two best players in the world not in the NHL.

and they are going to build on last season's success.

Spatso told me.

Wow, watching the Sens advance so much further than the leafs must have really hurt.
You can't trash their achievements on the ice, as they've so much better than leafs for over 12 of 13 years now ............ so you have to resort to who has/had naming rights to the Arena and guessing who will or will not sign with the Sens in the future.

Keep it up, it just shows how much the Sens success gets under your skin.

You're right. The Sens have been better than the Leafs for a few years now. It must be nice to reflect on all the Stanley Cups you've won in that time. Whereas we can only bank on the greatest single season rookie crop ever.

Yup. Really sucks being a Leafs fan.

Sens fans have been watching their team, in the playoffs, including the Finals, a LOT over the past 12 seasons ........... leaf fans not so much.

Was there a parade for having so many good rookies, at the end of last season?

Really? You sure you wanna go there, being a fan of a team that raises banners and celebrates mediocrity?

You sure you don't want to rethink that?

In case you missed the boring Leafs news this week, Bank of Nova Scotia paid $800 million for the naming rights to Leaf's Arena. Yes the same bank that opted out of the $20 million 15 year deal it signed for the Sens naming rights. I wonder why BNS disposed of the Sens affiliation at first opportunity (on a really cheap deal) and subsequently granted the highest amount ever paid for such an endorsement to the Leafs. Must be because the Sens are such a hot property. Maybe because they are such a hot ticket in the playoffs.
As for Sens success, last time I checked, the Leafs have wiped their ass with the Sens every time they faced them in the playoffs. Expect more of the same, not this year though, Sens won't be there.

Im very curious why Sens fans only reflect 12 years back. Why not 20? 30? 50?

You can't pick and choose history at your own pleasure imo. Because i really enjoyed watching the Leafs beat the Sens every time they met in the playoffs. Every single time.

Also the Leafs having the second most cups won is pretty relevant. No?

I think its mostly because they know their window of being better is about to slam shut this season or next. They seem on edge. Insecure.

oh well. they had a great Cinderella run last season. i think they should enjoy it.
