Yeah, that's likely the reason.
The Sens glorious post season run of 2017 will be spoken of for generations.

It is indeed strange for me. I normally get really pumped for the draft. This year I am finding it hard to get excited. Likely has something to do with the great post season run by the Sens.

how cute.

the ball is over cinderalla. glad you enjoyed it - because you would be back for a long time.

After they lose one of the dmen they want to keep and add middling rookies?

Seems a bit of some homerish summer talk, especially after last year where you proclaimed the leafs rookies weren't good enough to make a differerence...called them worse then last year when they finished 30th. But as well all know, thanks to you for pointing it out, only leaf fans guilty of summer talk (even when there was none)

Forgive us if we laugh at your goofy projections and predictions, your track record not so good.

Edit: don't forget to take into account your goalies age and injury situation and penchant for alternating good and bad years

The TSN list of top NHL prospects names 4 Sens as falling in the top 50. Chabot is top Dman, 3rd overall. Not one Leaf made the list.

No doubt.
Securing tickets may be impossible.

Unfortunately, I expect the Leafs aging roster to regress.

Summer talk is fun.

Cause they were playing in the nhl?

Seems like Dermott is being underrated here a bit. His number are equal to chabot (while a playing in a tougher league) and when on the same team they were equal.

But ones a sens and the saviour and one is a leaf and will never make it.

One was playing against 16-17 year olds and one was playing professionally.... But the one playing against 16 yr olds is closer to nhl ready

We were talking about the best rookie, last season, including the playoffs ................. we all know you trollonto fans ONLY measure success by the number of Stanley Cups won.

You choose Matthews ...... ZERO Cups, and I suggest that Murray, with TWO Cups was the better rookie.

Obviously you've now realized the catch 22 you're in, and your first instinct is to deflect, and distract ............. a clear signal that you're a hypocrite.

- D0PPELGANGER

Team success is measured by cups, yes.

You need to lighten up. It is not good to give me so much power over your feelings. Sometimes it is better just to tell your self to stay cool.

Good advice you could have used while trolling Leafs prospects last summer because it made you insecure

because they made the NHL.

But yes sens are clearly ahead because their prospects made a list while the Leafs prospects could only make the NHL. No doubt Sens will have the top 4 scoring rookies next year unlike the Leafs with 3/4.

I think Leaf fans are in for a very rude shock. Sens will add Chabot, Harpur and White into their line up next fall. All of them are highly skilled and will be allowed to grow their game over the year.

This time last year you said the leafs rookie weren't good enough to make an impact, what has changed to move your stance on that? Sens adding significantly lesser talented rookies to their lineup but they gonna make an impact that Matthews wasn't?

That sure sounds like bitter biased sens homer summer talk....

In order for teams to win it all they need to have at least one truly outstanding talent that provides leadership.

A symbol of the Sens leadership and iron will is the picture of Karlsson in a wheel chair post surgery. This is the standard everyone is going to have to live up to next year.

There are a certain class of athletes that simply will themselves and their team mates to win. I have always thought Karlsson was that kind of player. This is the first year the Sens have been explicitly built around him. Next year it will be even more.

This is pretty lame.

I try to put some modest effort into my commentary.

Your effort is pretty dull, even for a Leaf fan. You don't need to say something brilliant. Just try and say things that are original to you and consistent with your values.

Would you really be happy to have what you wrote above immortalized on your tombstone. What an epitaph for someone who never had even a trace of an original thought.

I think Button completely forgot about Kapanen. PPG kid the AHL. Not in the top 50.
