Most of my family still think that I am primarily a Leaf fan. I still am the butt of many jokes. Most of them would be highly annoyed to hear that I made the switch a few years ago. They so love to skewer me on each new Leaf collapse.

As you know, I don't mind the Leafs at all and I had decided that if the Leafs won (Washington) and Ottawa lost (Boston) I would flip my pennant to the Leafs for their playoff run....but, alas, it was not to be.

you can try to hedge your bets all you like, you're going to get harassed pretty mercilously over the next 10 years regardless.

I am pretty good natured and have a great deal of contentment in my life. Mrs Spatso loves me dearly. I can easily handle a few frustrated Leaf fans.

Sure, but can you handle the next 10 years of ridicule from exuberant ones? Even as a miserable senaturds fan?

Not a problem. I have great confidence that the Sens will lead the Atlantic next season.

I'll will wager Toronto finishes higher than Ottawa next season. If they don't I will cease posting, if they do you and DOPPLEGANGER just have to admit that The Leafs > The Sens now and going forward for the foreseeable future, and post accordingly.

If their key players stay healthy I would imagine it's Tampa's to lose. Anyone could win the division and it wouldn't surprise me though.

So? Wasn't the likes OF rundblad highly ranked?

Their stats are very similar (and chabot played in a more open offensive league). Their stats are very similar when they competed on the same team.

not sure why, but the qmjhl just does not produce decent dmen. its very rare. qmjhl dmen drafted in the first round since 2010. Gormley, beaulieu, Samuel Morin, Jacob zboril, and chabot.

he was one dimensional in both junior and the AHL. doubtful he ever becomes more than an average depth shutdown guy. Jared Cowen was more prolific a scorer. usually if a dman is going to dominate in the NHL they are VERY dominant in junior. he obviously wasnt. he may turn out okay , but "stud" he is not.

flyers fans seem to think all their d prospects are studs. provorov a norris winner, ghost really can actually defend, Morin a stud. hagg is the bestest. sanheim a star in the making. these are the guys I've seen flyers fans pump up as top d prospects the last few years. have i missed anyone? dlyers fans seem to think they have 10 guys that project into top pairing dmen.

they've got several of these guys on their AHL team already and they're combining to make a bottom of the barrel defensive team in the AHL. how about we see these guys actually hold their own there before calling them stud NHL prosoects.
